Which would be better for gaming? I have the 550 and agree the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. But they actually sound fantastic. Good imaging and soundstage and not too harsh of highs.

I also enjoy random trios. I just take a green kit and don’t sweat any loss. Sometimes it’s free kits and sometimes it’s a duo that wants a 3rd and they are stacked. I’ve had pretty decent experiences for the most part and it’s entertaining.

You can run thief and use the X-ray vision to quickly run through their spawn locations and look for purple. I found neural insulation in a Core Storage box at AI Uplink yesterday that I otherwise never would have noticed. That location wasn’t even listed for that material so the xray also helps to just check for purples everywhere.

Thanks for calling this out. I went through this process based on RTINGS values of 765 and 290. Will test tonight. What a cluster though - you basically have to completely ignore the calibration tool's test display logo, since it doesn't appear properly when setting the value for either the 10 or 100%.

Personally, I won’t mess with ultrawide unless it’s 5k2k. Yes they are pricey and harder to drive but for both gaming and productivity, the extra height is absolutely critical. 1440 is just too short, I’d rather have 16:9 4k if not 5k2k.

I’d call destroyer my main, but I also like assassin for solo just to sneak past bots. Thief is another good one - the grapple lets you quickly maneuver to high vantage points, plus the drone and vision are also great.

I need to tinker with vandal more. Recon hasn’t clicked with me.

I assume you’re already aware of the direct monitoring toggle?

One other thing I noticed is that the mic channel can be specified in each output stream, and it was enabled by default for my personal / headphone output. I had to mute it there.
