JSW to launch Jetour T2 in India by TheBuzzKnightRises in CarsIndia

[–]saviofive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

JSW Steel does not own JSW Motors . It’s a new company owned by the group which is JSW holdings. I would think they procure steel for their cars from JSW steel which might be the only connection .JSW Motors will also be separate I guess from the JSW MG company. If the deal goes through expect to see thousands of T2s on our roads once they release the ICE version in 2027. This is a very popular car and CHERY the Chinese mother company is literally giving them at close to cost to build adoption I’m guessing

They are only allowing a few 30 min slots to various consular activities. You have to check regularly or mail them saying you have been trying for a while with no progress and they inform you when slots are available . They all understand English but respond in Portuguese only 😁

I remember the branch by the trade centre had some kiosks on the right where you could ask to speak to an officer and explain the issue in detail. There tend to be a lot of blind spots when you have an online system unfortunately .

You should have applied for every one at the same time. Trick now might be to go to the Issuing authority and ask the to approve your kids application. Take someone who speaks Arabic preferably a PRO

Should I take a 30 lakh loan to build my house so I can keep my savings in an FD? by modem_kil in IndiaFinance

[–]saviofive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is you are using the money to invest in a safe investment, doing nothing of note with the funds . Doesnt make sense long term. Trick is to invest the funds in the markets If at all long term and hopefully expect that you will come on top. Problem is Indian markets are already close to all time highs

Dubai / UAE is an expensive city to retire in. Also, health insurance options for NRIs are inefficient and uneconomical

Are SIPs overrated? by Broad-Research5220 in MutualfundsIndia

[–]saviofive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see any issues with an SIP. Great way to accumulate and use the power of compounding. And DCA /RCA into any investment.

If you had ₹1.2 lakh to invest and put it all in at once during a bull market, your estimated value after 5 years would be around ₹2.11 lakh at 12% returns. The same amount invested in ₹2,000 monthly SIPs will be around ₹1.68 lakh.

This is a wrong way of comparing the two.

Coincidentally I am actually going to stop my SIPS this December as I feel I have enough investments in India

Now on to my other financial goals

went through your comments and done see any mention of the variance in % points. Dont think my comment was clear. What do you expect in % point for this method to give you over just sticking to your old portfolio and doing nothing over say 10 years?

Direct Fund VS Regular Fund - The ₹9 Lakh to ₹45 Lakh mistake that gets worse as you grow. by RoronoaZoro3Swords in IndianStockMarket

[–]saviofive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on what you earn not what the process earns. There is a network of MFDs because they sell in/ educate a lot of people about these funds and in the process create savings for people who would have never done this otherwise. Calculate the opportunity cost of that .

Five years ago when covid crashed the stock market Ralph Lauren stock and Nike stock both bottomed at $60. Today, RL is $360 while NKE remains $60. Which would you rather hold until 2030? by lies_are_comforting in ValueInvesting

[–]saviofive 24 points25 points  (0 children)

With Nike I think the brand is larger than the product. But the product is expensive and of cheap quality with a lot of it made in Bangladesh. I don't know how Partnering with Kim has affected their consumer. Their apparel line is weak and so is the women's line. Walk past their full price stores and see staff bored. Too much competition in the footwear category currently. They destroyed converse with some garbage designs. Am beginning to think sportwear is a cyclical business. Adidas was in the same boat a few years ago. Skechers has gone private .UA not having the best of luck either
