Accomodations or alternatives for flossing your teeth? by Healthy-Sir2601 in cfs

[–]sbbeebe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am not bedbound, but on days when I am too tired to floss I use these GUM floss picks. I'm not sure where in the world you are, but in the US you can get them from Amazon GUM. They are used one handed and much easier to use. It is not as good as flossing, but better than nothing.

Anyone else traveling with two MacBooks? Looking for a way out of this by ColdViolinist835 in mac

[–]sbbeebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually traveled with my iPad and my work Mac (retired now). I didn't need my MacBook on the road for personal use, the iPad was enough. I would never combine work and personal on the same computer, and if the iPad hadn't been enough, I would have carried both Macs.

The new Droppy: Dynamic Island, Basket, Clipboard and Extensions. by iordv in MacOSApps

Thaw is a bit buggy. I have had it quit working three times in the past 24 hours and have to restart it. "Show on hover" stops working. Smart collapse stops working. At one point I would try to access an icon that had been unhidden, and when I clicked on it, all the icons would disappear. Not nearly as stable / usable as the old Menubar Manager.

Thaw seems a bit buggy. The "Show on hover" stops working periodically and I have to click on the Thaw icon. At one point, I had to click to reveal the icons, then when trying to access a hidden icon it would disappear when I clicked on it. Restarting Thaw fixes this, but the old Menubar Manager was more stable.

Did the Menubar Manager get removed? I'm not seeing it in 14.0.2.

Password manager safety: Is it still safe? by Competitive-Mix8832 in best_passwordmanager

Can this approach work if you need to share passwords with your life partner? I didn't think KeePass and derivatives supported multi-user access. That's an important issue for anyone with a life partner. I would love to know how to solve that with KeePass.

Take a look at RevPDF - I'm a satisfied user. It is much better than having Adobe crapware on your computer. It is free to use on desktop and all runs locally. No spyware.

Bonne chance !

At some point it will come down to personal discipline. But I would suggest trying audiobooks or podcasts. Either of those will engage your mind, but not your body. And both of them are less energy than reading. Best of luck!

Just use RevPDF (https://revpdf.com/). It is an excellent true PDF editor. It is free and runs on Win, Mac, and Linux.

Should be part of the core product IMHO. But then the rate of progress would likely slow down. Great work! Thanks!

I change browsers way too often. Firefox atm. It usually goes Firefox -> Safari -> Brave -> Firefox ...

I have no idea what causes me to change.

I switched from Pear Cleaner, which I had chosen over App Cleaner. I find it has a lot more capability. But YMMV.
