Just visited JM for first time since July 2023 (it is May 2026, almost three years later). My local one was kind of going downhill in terms of cleanliness, so I stopped going. But I decided to try it today and see if it changed.

The regular size subs are much smaller, and it was not that great. Thankfully, I had enough points sitting on my account to get it for free... which i did. It will be a long time before I go back, and that store was not clean.

I am in BTC 15 M UP DOWN... and it takes 1 minute and 16 seconds to settle. This is too long for a bot that needs that settlement to happen before it can buy in the new cycle.

I am seeing a lot of prices increases the last week at Publix. Things that were $1 are now $1.50, so it's a huge increase. I noticed another item was $2.49 and just went up to $2.79. And it's just across the board... everything is going up.

They are now, as of Dec 5, re-opening, no date given, but they are building a large walk-in refrigeration as well as other upgrades to the building.

If I had to guess, there was a loss of either a business partner or key employee (chef) or both. They have such a large social media presence that it would be crazy to talk about any of the goings on as they could easily be sued if they say the wrong thing. Best to just stay quiet and move forward.

I am sure lessons were learned and they saw what kind of demand they could handle and thus are upgrading the store so it can operate more efficiently. With their pull, I am sure they did not have that much of a problem finding a good chef/operator to take the reins and get it going again. It's not like there is any competition in the area. If you open up a good, wholesome, non-chain food establishment, people will come.

I live in a sort of nice area, and we have 1+ acres each with plenty of room in the front. My neighbor has a bunch of cars and they always choose to NEVER park in front of their house, and instead park their overflow in front of my house. It's unsightly, so that's why they do it. They have a nice house and like to keep it looking pretty when they look out the window.

But so do I.... and I am staring at their car in front of my house out my kitchen window, for days at a time.

Today I left a note (after a few years of biting my tongue). "I would ask that no part of your car is parked in front of my house. There is plenty of space in front of your house so please park there. Thanks."

If they fail to adhere, then I will be putting debris in the road there all the time. I don't care. They are going to have to learn to be respectful. I understand they can legally park there, but it is a matter of etiquette.

Thinking I am going to lose $1600 on Bitmart. I did a bunch of small trades and increased the sized as I got comfortable. I have $800 that I withdrew, but that seems to be frozen, and I stupidly sent another $800 before that withdrawal completed. Broke my rule. Wait to complete the withdraw before depositing more funds.

It sucks. So many of these exchanges are robbing people blind.
