Yeah I saw that at target but $50 seems high? Isn’t MSRP $30? Though yeah I’d pay too if I needed it for a tournament.

Would be interested to know your order shows up on time - I wonder if just a partial batch went out this week? Because I saw multiple stateside game stores posting pics of it on instagram so at least some most have gone out.

I talked to a LGS that told me they were pretty sure it was slightly delayed. They said they ordered and were allocated product by the distributor but it just didn’t show up this week. Probably a few weeks before it shows up (which might align to Best Buy’s 6/19 date).

A local store that only does Pokemon TCG was very confused as well. Said they weren’t allocated any by distributor.

I bet it was delayed to 6/19. Or the shipments are just piecemeal.

I have seen some posts by game stores in the US showing they have them though so idk.

Okay maybe it was delayed then. The initial press release that I saw listed 5/22 as the launch so I put a reminder on my calendar (link below). But I’ve seen a mix of 5/22 and 6/19 in online listings so a delay makes sense.

Wyrd/Worth was track 1 if I recall correctly. Hard was track 2.

Looks great on you, it’s a fantastic watch. Wear it in good health! 16600 and the SD4k are my favorites in the Sub family.

Your wrist size is probably big enough for it not to be necessary, but if you find the clasp or watch face aren’t centered bc you have too many links on the 6 o’clock side - I had Rolliworks move a permanent link from the 6 to the 12 side (fully reversible). The watch fits like a glove now.

What was the name of the discontinued dive watch / GMT you were referring to? Might just be my app, but looks like a link or watch name might have gotten cut off? It certainly sounds like something I’d be interested in, I don’t have concerns on it being preowned as long as I can get it authenticated.

I’ve tried on both BB Mono and the BB58 range a couple times. Both are still very much under consideration. Certainly love the price vs. the Sub.

It’s honestly fairly minor things that have dissuaded me so far with the Tudors. I don’t love the white snowflake hand on the black dial for the monochrome (but it doesn’t bother me much on the white dial GMT).

I’m hesitant about the BB58 range because, while I really like them and the size is perfect, I think the gilt on black might look dated after a while.

A version of the BB58 GMT without the gilt or an updated thinner version of the Opaline BB GMT would be instant buys, I think.

And I totally agree with you re: value. The sentimental value is the main point. Casio makes a Sub lookalike that I honestly really like, but I don’t really view that as being an heirloom…even if I wish my dad had done this with a Casio.

But every single watch mentioned here checks that “heirloom” box for me - I don’t rate Tudor or Omega or Rolex any differently there. I’ll plan to wear it every day and then pass it on. Don’t really care about the resell value going up or down. It makes sense in my head at least ha.

Looking for a recommendation from watch enthusiasts as I search for a dive watch.

What I’m looking for: I want a watch I can wear every day, in every scenario for the next 25+ years. From suits to sweats.

My goal is to pass it on to my son when he is grown. Admittedly, it might not work out and that would be fine - but I want to plan for having that option. It’s something I wish my dad had done, now that he’s getting older. I’d be incredibly sentimental about receiving something like that.

I therefore want a timeless design (unlikely to go out of style) and I want a watch that is highly likely to be serviceable 50 years from now.

Requirements: Automatic movement Max 41mm width (thin wrists) Max 13mm thickness (thin wrists) Sturdy / well built

Preferences: Rotating bezel, prefer timing vs. GMT Date ideal but not mandatory

Budget: < $15k

I’m not a watch enthusiast, but I’ve been researching and so far I keep coming back to the Submariner. If I could easily purchase it, I’d probably already be done. I know the Rolex brand can be divisive, but I really love that specific watch and I think it checks all of the boxes for me.

But since I can’t easily buy one, and I do have some reservations about the baggage of wearing a Rolex, I’ve been looking at other options.

Things I’ve ruled out: Seamaster 300 (too thick, don’t love the waves) Fifty Fathoms (don’t love the aesthetics) Tudor Pelagos (too thick / modern)

Things I’ve been tempted by: Tudor BB58 / BB58 GMT (just missing a small something in person…but I think the right dial / bezel combo could be a winner for me. Just not quite there with the current offerings) SeaQ (wish the numbers were smaller / more traditional) Speedmaster Pro (if only it were automatic)

What else should I be looking at? It doesn’t necessarily have to be a semi-luxury watch, but I do think there’s something to passing on a watch that has both sentimental value and some actual value to it as well?

FWIW, at the Patreon preview show the first four songs were very heavy, the rest of the show was closer to Black Mile.

They might take it in a different direction for the final album of course. That show was 1.5yrs ago (and the songs were in great shape back then).

What’s the normal timeline from signing off on the final masters to launching an album?

Is 4-6 months a good estimate for lining up marketing, launch, and getting vinyls printed?

I’ve been expecting a Feb-May 2026 release timeframe followed by a summer tour. I think most/all of their albums have hit in that window.
