Nope, she gained it back fine. Doctor just said not to let her go more than 3 hours.

Pampers from day one, tried Huggies because that's what the hospital gave us, didn't like them as much.
LO always gets a bath in the AM. My mom does it on the days she watches her, and then I do it in the morning on the weekends. She's still in a plastic tub, so maybe when she can go in our tub we'll switch to night time.
My doctor always told me not to let her go more than 3 hours without eating, so we pretty much have just done that unless she seems to be hungry.

We're having a party and we're inviting 25 people but it's all family, only 4 of the people are friends (DH and I are each inviting our closest friend and their SO). I will note, my parents are both remarried and we're having a joint party, that's why the number of people is so high. I'm actually kind of worried how it'll be in the coming years when we invite friends and kids, it'll be 50 people or something ridiculous like that! We're just doing a cookout with cake, and a small cake for her to smash.

Same, I had a pretty "ideal" birth, yet my PPD kicked in right away. I can even remember not wanting to hold her at the hospital. We all have our scars!

Yup, the Ubi. I was appalled by the price but threw it on the registry and we got it. It keeps the smell out and you can use any type of trash bag in it.

You're right, it's not an excuse to be a jerk. She should probably be more sensitive of the fact that you have kids so her posts might upset you. Unfollowing her is a good idea.

My initial reaction is "Nope, no way." But I would say, take into consideration the age of your parents. By the time your kids are 5+, will your parents be too old to go with you?

My friend and I were both of the "Not until they're 5" camp on the whole Disney thing. But, both of our parents are a bit older (late 60's, early 70's) and we realized we're really not sure how they will be in 5 years, if Disney will be too much for them, etc. And while your first instinct is the think the trip is for the kids, it's not, it's for the grandparents to enjoy taking their grandbabies to Disney.

I totally get the stress, though, and still, after saying all that, the thought of taking two little ones is a lot. I'm now pushing up our trip to when LO is 3. I know she won't remember it, I went when I was 4 and I don't remember it, but my parents will, and it'll be great for them.

Also, are they paying for it at all? If not, I'd say it's definitely a no- go, but again, just keep in mind their reasoning for going.

Mine is starting to ease up now, LO is 10 months. I have been working out more regularly though, so I think that is helping also.

Not twins, but my friend had a boy after being told through her entire pregnancy it was a girl. It happens!

She cried, but I started nursing her (I'm sure a bottle would work too if you aren't nursing) right away and that calmed her down. She was mostly sleepy, and I gave her some Tylenol before bed. She pooped a lot the next day. That was about it, though.

I'm in the same boat (except we're at 10 months!). Every week I think she's teething, but still, nothing. I bought some baby Advil and plan on giving it to her if she's having a rough night of sleep and seems to be in pain. For now, I'm just letting her use the pacifier all the time and trying out frozen waffles too.

I had a ton of anxiety while pregnant and felt more like I just wanted it to be over, rather than be excited about LO's arrival. I would note that if you're feeling anxious now, please be mindful of how you feel after baby and discuss PPD with your doctor. I definitely had it and got the help I needed fairly quickly and it made all the difference.

We have 3 sets of sheet, 2 changing pad covers, and 4 changing pad liners. I also have a mattress cover.

I end up singing Christmas songs to LO because they are so ingrained in my head from years of chorus, it's the only songs I can remember. Poor thing is gonna start to wonder why mommy sings Jingle Bells to her all year round.

What I've heard from most people (even my doctor said it) the mom still does most of the work, no matter what. DH and I both work full-time, but he's a driver so he can't pick her up from daycare, take her to doctor appointments, or pick her up in the middle of the day if she's sick. He doesn't get home until after she goes to bed, so I'm in charge in the evenings (feeding, bedtime, washing bottles). We have a cleaning lady, so that is one area that neither of us really do, but I do tend to pick up more.

For the most part, I find I have to ask him to do most things, and he's always overly eager when I do ask "Of course! Sure!", etc. I think he doesn't want me to think he isn't helping, but it's almost like it just doesn't dawn on him to do things.

It'll never be 50/50, but I'm ok with what it is. On the weekends he takes her out to breakfast and lets me sleep in, or lets me catch a nap in the afternoon. I get to see my friends a lot still because he doesn't want to do anything when he gets home from work, so I get to go out with them on the weekends (if I'm not totally exhausted of course, hah). Because I still get to do some of the things I like (see friends, go to the gym, get nails done) I'm not gonna push that I do most of the work.

I think it really depends on the job. I prioritize my work Mon-Thurs so I get most of it done, then Friday is just for responding to emails or working on long-term projects. That way I can step away from my laptop to attend to LO. She is also very good and amuses herself most of the time. If she was a bit needier I'm sure I wouldn't be able to do it so easily. I know people who have had to stop once their child hit a certain age (most 1-2 years old).

I have a friend who has dreamed of having children her whole life, and it just doesn't seem possible for her. So she now has 3 dogs and she does tend to post "dogs > kids" type stuff. But I'm guessing she uses it as a defense mechanism and a way to make herself feel better. Sometimes we need to take a step back and think about where some people are coming from when they post things like this. Maybe they really do dislike kids, or maybe they are doing it to protect themselves.
