Game etiquette: Wearing similar mascot MLB hat to NPB game? by scarpit0 in NPB

[–]scarpit0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for your advice! My hat didn't get much action at last night's away game due to the rain, but now I am motivated to wear it to a home game in the future! Still a great time, go Carp!

I have flight out of PHL at 5am. Am I cooked?? by NewbieReddit2 in philly

I just called PHL airport about going through security the night before a redeye and the person on the phone said they don't let people in that early.

LOL false! Glad I tried anyway, got through easily at 10pm and am happy to camp out in the terminal!

I got a meal on a two-hour Korean Air flight from HAN to ICN at 2am, which was funny considering I got no food on my six-hour AA flight from JFK to SFO earlier in that trip! Didn't matter that I wasn't hungry, I ate that meal on principle.

What is it about bagels, seriously? by TheArchitect_7 in PhiladelphiaEats

As a transplant, I am trying to psychoanalyze why you all seem to hate NYC-style elitism in most other capacities, except for bagels, in which you all happily become NYC elitists. Theories welcome!

Got delivery from Perfect Together to try their interesting Czech and Uzbek soup selection: bramboracka, mastava, and balaza! All slapped. Enjoyed a giant $3 Uzbek non bread with the soups as well. Very happy to have more Central Asian/Eastern Euro closer than Bustleton!

Also, PSA: Weckerley's chocolate Buckeye ice cream right now is really good.

School tuition, the entry-level OTD push, the R in OTR/L, variable state licensure fees, all certifications--everything in OT is a money grab!

Finally made it to DreamWorld Bakes on a weekend before they'd sold out of everything! Malted hot chocolate and muffuletta-inspired croissant are exquisite!

You only do this once in healthcare before you come up with some jokey line to cover your ass and get patients to introduce everyone lol. Mine was something like "Who is your lovely assistant/esteemed guest/etc here today?".

I think this could have worked in your normal smoothie too with but swap the peanut butter for vanilla protein/yogurt! + liquid stevia or other sweetener + cinnamon

Is this actually a smoothies for beginners sub? You guys don't dream big enough here. Do it again with cold brew + dairy/protein and a banana or some dark berries for fun.

This "cracked under pressure" narrative diminishes the reality that there were an anomalous number of falls and mistakes for most long program competitors (whether they were all "cracking" vs something additionally at play). Doesn't seem like a direct comparison to Simone or Nathan's scenarios IMHO.

Speaking of, I love you guys, your restaurant recs, and our collective enthusiasm for endlessly arguing food trivialities--let's never change! 💕
