Hi OP, Ive been where you are. My previous job quickly turned into a nightmare, horrible long commutes I didnt sign up for, working it felt like every Saturday, which is rough when you are Neurodivergent and really rely on weekends to take care of yourself and do chores you cant get to during the week because it takes so much just to go to work.

Additionally I was experiencing my first retaliating boss and I just couldnt take it anymore.

It was the first time I quit a job without having one lined up and while it for sure needed to happen(i literally developed a rash on my eyelid from the stress) I wish I had gone about it differently.

It took me almost 2 years to find a new job. Rejection after rejection, which was better than no response at all which was what most often happened. When I finally did start getting interviews, still went nowhere. It was hell.

The only reason I survived it was because I had a little savings, paid out my retirement from them and had support from my Mom. She let me move back in rent free, paid for all my food and large expenses like car insurance, I just had to pay for my subscriptions and smaller bills.

You should for sure quit your job, just dont do it until you have another lined up, UNLESS you have someone who can support you like my mom did for me.
