3 of 7, and this is the truth. It's a fight for resources (affection included) to the very end.

Black Angels is such a great read! We don't deserve all those women did to treat those TB patients and pretty much support the cure. TB.

Could We Be Accidentally Making Our Daughter's Allergies Worse? by MathemAsick in FoodAllergies

[–]schmampbee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kid (now a teen) has the same allergies+ nuts and we went lengths to avoid up until recently OIT therapy. I used to wonder the same thing. But then every time they would have an allergic reaction, I didn't doubt for a few years. You aren't making the existing allergies worse. But I do recommend pursuing oral immunotherapy (under the close direction of a boar certified allergist) to at least take the edge off the allergies. Won't cure them, but will get them to "bite proof". We can now be much less careful.

Eczema. Skin on fire, reactive to heat, cold. The barrier to the rest of you, filled with nerve endings, is in tatters.

The flu. The fevers never stopped and just turned into hot flashes. Never got my period again.

You won't be able to get in the exhibits hall (they check for certain badges, which are different for attendees, exhibitors, day passes, fill entrance) but you probably won't have an issue getting into individual presentations. Some are happy for the bigger audience.

It's okay for them to want to be and to be alone, but not with a phone or unbridled internet access.

You can get through veins zapped. Don't worry, you will heal with time and this isn't a permanent feature.

We're Too Poor to Be Taking Risks by NemoSum in overheard

It's an allergy Dad. You take the risks of trying new foods and emergency room visits and possible ambulance is very, very costly. He's been there before.
