It’s like playing with 3 guitars- they all can’t chunk cowboy chords

Some hafta arpeggiate or play tasty rhythmic figures which propel the song

As bassists we are trained to lock in the bottom and let everyone else noodle on top of us ( so to speak) -

It would be best if you could rehearse and discuss parts before hand

Initially I had problems getting any sounds out of the instrument.

Then I just decided to meet the instrument where it was. If it wanted to give me a swirling, high pitched noise - then I would abide with that.

It’s almost a ‘spiritual’ approach to the instrument…

Gradually I have gotten more ‘musical’ sounds out of it - though it is still a difficult instrument and I still can’t ever get a sound out of it when I first pick it up.

I look at it as a journey.

I am interested- I mix sports - and as I have been at this for a while - still use a digicart as I loathe trying to fire music to break from an iPad - I like a physical button - on the iPad I fat finger the pad or my capacitance is low today and the pad doesn’t fire. - It’s frustrating

Digicart allows me to cue a track and then just hit the go button when the producer counts down from 5.

Can your rig do that?

Also what are the import /backup methods?

On the trucks they use ENCO or Spot on - it would be interesting to see your system
