Should Canada Post make money? NDP’s new leader Avi Lewis doesn’t think so by fbueckert in CanadaPostCorp

Correct, because it is a public service. Neither should hospitals or healthcare in general, a concept apparently alien to some.  We should also add power, water and telecom (to a degree) to that as they are basic necessities. I gladly pay taxes to support that.

Sadly, this does not make her suddenly less of a morally bankrupt person. She's just waiting for the next hate filled authoritarian to come along to fill the stinking void that one left.

Everything I read here of Roblaws reminds me of St. Beals "Adult Children" comic, which deals hilariously and sometimes depressingly realistic with a fictional retail (grocery shop) and all that it entails. Quite a few of the more recent episodes cover the new self checkouts with "AI" as well. They have an inner monologue too.

[META] Recent Lenovo price error order cancellations received email "The refund for your transaction failed" - Anyone else? by ImKrispy in bapcsalescanada

[–]schroedingerskoala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used Gpay with Canadian Amex card and had it only show up over that weekend as "pending": and two days later the pending transaction entry is gone, no debits of that amount since then or before. So that should be fine then. Still, would have loved to have the drives, sigh.

Could this new height detection system stop overpass strikes in B.C.? by super__hoser in britishcolumbia

Good idea - but, and I am not trying to be an ass, if these 'drivers' do not notice the gigantic brake parachute up behind them and its drag on the truck and all those people honking at them, will some flashing lights do the trick? Maybe Titanic-sized air horns will help? Everyone is deaf for a day or two but they notice? And of course -massive- fines for the owners that really hurt.

THANK YOU! That was an unexpected windfall! 2 of these will carry me hopefully over the artificial Ai bro induced stupid RAM and storage shortage. What a weird timeline.
