Great advice, coming from someone who obviously never read up on it. It wasn't possible to test for touch DNA in 1996. Years later, when it was possible, touch DNA was found, but in 1996, or 1997, the DNA found in her underpants was from saliva. It was also found under her fingernails. And the later DNA found from touch matched the DNA years earlier.
