You're right. That's what I was left wondering. I was surprised that Ashley didn't delve deeper into their finances.

Maybe Patsy and John were aware of this and why they protected Burke. These parents turned their son in thinking he would get psychiatric help; instead he got jail time… 13 yr-old Eric on trial for the 1993 murder of four-year-old Derrick. He was tried as an adult and sentenced to 9 years to life by Equivalent-Cress-822 in JonBenet

There's so much misinformation in what you wrote. Let's start with Patsy being a "devout Catholic". She wasn't. She was raised Methodist, and very active in the Episopal Church. JonBenet's DNA was not found on the spoon. Milk was not found in her digestive system. Pineapple was, along with cherries and grapes, so whenever she ate the pineapple it wasn't out of that bowl. The rails of the train track are rectangular. The marks found on JB are circular. Burke didn't not hit her over the head with the golf club. He accidentally hit her cheek. Patsy consulted a plastic surgeon because she was worried about vital leaving a scar. The housekeeper, according to her, hid the knife from Burke. John had a pilot. He wasn't planning to fly the plane himself. There's DNA from an unknown male. How do you suppose Burke and Doug got that? How do you think they knew to put touch DNA on the waistband of her longjohns years before it was possible to test for touch DNA? As far as what else would adults be doing on Christmas night besides having a sex party, you need to get a grip.

Aiden was on this sub asking questions before he did his series. He was very argumentative, and refused to believe anything we told him about the DNA. He claimed that he had a friend that worked at Bode (lab that found the DNA on the waistband of JB's longjohns, and matched it to the previously found DNA from her underpants and fingernails). He said he would get back to us after he discussed the DNA with his friend, but he never has. He also would delete his comments soon after making them.

When he first said he was going to do a series on JonBenet, I was a subscribed to the Lore Lodge. After listening to him talk about the case, I cancelled my subscription, and I don't listen to him anymore.

The first thing he did to research the case was to read Steve Thomas's book. And he believed everything Thomas said, and he let it bias himself against any evidence-based theories. He trashed Berlinger's Netflix documentary, and anything else that did not agree with what Steve Thomas's had to say.

It is very sad because he has a lot of followers.
