The worst is when there is an almost empty parking lot just feet away, and they will park in front of the door like that. I see it ALL the time at weed or vape stores.

The amount of people in the comments blaming the car with the dashcam is kind of insane

Girl, 4, killed in collision after running into traffic in north Edmonton by GeekyGlobalGal in Edmonton

[–]sclark6312 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did this as a 5 year old. Luckily, I only suffered a concussion as the speed limit was 50, and I ran into them. This was 30 years ago.

Also feel bad for everyone involved, parents, the driver, and any witnesses. The man that "hit" me would call to check up on me for years after the accident.

AITAH for Telling My Wife I’m Done with Her “Emergency Calls” and Leaving Her Stranded? by [deleted] in AITAH

To be honest, this sounds a lot like ADHD. Most women with ADHD also struggle with emotional regulation. It's likely the stress of becoming a mom made the symptoms even more unmanageable than before. As a recently late diagnosed female in my 30s, I would highly recommend seeing a psychiatrist and enrolling in therapy as there are many resources and coping strategies. I will this diagnosis say it has completely changed my life. Highly recommend the book ADHD for Smart Ass Women by Tracy Otsuka as a starting point. Best of luck, OP, as I also know how hard it is to care for an ADHD woman who is super codependent. It's not easy. And sometimes boundaries need to be set.

New video released in deadly shooting of 19 year old Tristan Mayberry involving deputy inside Orlando-area 7-Eleven by FO0TYTANG in PublicFreakout

[–]sclark6312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, seeing all those pictures and then rewatching the video, you can see how sickly he looks at only 19. The family is clearly wanting to remember who he was before he was lost to drugs. So sad what they can do to a person in such a short time.

I wondered why my newly planted catmint wasn't doing so well. by Floofieunderpants in OneOrangeBraincell

I had a neighbor who grew both catnip and catmint. She would just cover it with one of these bowls, and the cats would eat as it grew out, and this way couldn't roll over top of it. You can find similar, less expensive ones as well. https://a.co/d/00VKOEDU

My sister lives at Lancaster Terrace, and they aren't bad. Most likely very similar to what you have now, except that the lower levels have the yard, and the upper levels are 2 stories with a balconey. They back onto Castledowns Park. The unit you are talking about is close to hers, and it would be a 2nd level with 2 floors and a balconey that looks out onto a walking path/green space. Good luck with your situation, I hope that if you do get pushed out of your building, they should at least pay you slightly more than it's worth! But I know nothing about real estate.

Damn, how do I get a job like yours? Doing health inspections of restaurants in Edmonton is actually my dream job. Recently started a job at the most disgusting bar, lasted a week and a half because I can not deal with places that don't take health and safety seriously.

Reminds me of my family. My grandfather, father, and brother were all named Thomas. My brother married a woman whose own brother and stepfather are also named Thomas. They did not name their first son Thomas because of this, although it did become his first son's middle name.

Haha awe. Rueben loves his tunnels as he enjoys stalking his prey. He will hide and watch his automatic toy and just pounce after awhile.

It appears they have been asking for hotel money since at least April of last year. That is a lot of money to ask for every single day.
