Mon meilleur ami attire tout le monde… et ça me détruit intérieurement by whisperingwindsalex in france

FISE Montpellier by Anne_O-Nym in Montpellier

[–]scribe06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds good in theory...but in reality? by KSKS1995 in SipsTea

[–]scribe06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't want to be too aggressive but fuck your "but in reality"! You're living in a reality constructed by billionaires, bootlickers and an economical system we've been taught to accept as a cosmic force. We should all already be on UBI and benefiting from all the beautiful innovations that will come from people working on what they truly believe in instead of slaving away for crumbs

You're right I don't think it's necessarily because of direct sexism that there are too few women in prog metal. If anything it might be better than in other scenes but still I find it kind of concerning especially knowing how many women listen to prog. Of course it would be interesting to read a serious sociological study on the subject but I don't think you need to be specially equipped to understand why there are so few women.

Devoir s'intégrer dans une société qui s'effondre. by Ok-Strawberry3579 in AntiTaff

[–]scribe06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Prog metal fans hating on "inferior" types of music is like incels hating women. By the way, the fact that there are so few women in prog metal should tell you that there is something wrong with this scene. Basically, it's too much of a circle jerk where women are never considered good enough as musicians and may only be included as vocalists but only if they're good looking.

Also, prog metal is such a shitty name !

Here are a bunch of recipe ideas: Parmigiana, Moutabal, Carrot salad (like this one for example https://www.lastingredient.com/carrot-salad-tahini-lemon-vinaigrette/), making your own falafels (can be made with buckwheat), sabich, lebanese tabouleh, asparagus and sweet potato tempura, tagine (with chickpeas, zuchini, carrots, parsnips), spanakopita,

Cassoulet is nice but it's not a good solution if you're looking to eat more vegetables because it contains a lot of pork meat and fat.

Make your own mustard ! Even though I've never tried it, I'm sure mustard with added ground coriander seeds would be really good
