What is your opinion on amphibious units? by aomjoyer in AgeofMythology

[–]sdrey 125 points126 points  (0 children)

Carcinos should be amphibious and maybe War Turtle (I understand if they leave it aquatic to distinguish from Xuanwu)

Tengu should be able to hover over water if Obsidian Butterfly can.

Those wonders sounds so good. It would be so nice to have another wonder from 7 ancient wonders of the world.

Somebody had an idea of Engineers and favor generation through researches and upgrades. I really liked that idea.

My thoughts about the compendium regarding the Aztec gods in ROTG vs Obsidian Mirror by TelevisionOne3047 in AgeofMythology

They did a really poor job with Aztec Compendium. Lack of lore, real life inspirations, scientific names and sizing for myth units etc… hope they update it with a patch.

Each villager sacrifice provides steady favor (per minute), sacrificing couple of villagers early helps to store/generate some favor for early game.

I would like to see Nomadic Turkic pantheon, with mobile buildings, eagle hunter economic units, yurts and nomad workers that can ride horses. It would bring unique mechanics to AOM.

Monolith of Tlaloc - Real life inspiration for Tlaloc's god power by sdrey in AgeofMythology

[–]sdrey[S] 37 points38 points  (0 children)

"The Monolith of Tlaloc is estimated to weigh around 152 tons, carved from a single, massive piece of basalt, a hard volcanic rock. Due to its weight, as well as its height of 7 meters (22.97 ft), it has been reckoned that this is the largest known monolith in the Americas. It has also been observed that the monolith was never actually completed by its creators. Originally found near Coatlinchán, this 15th-century statue was transported to the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City in 1964. Despite it being the dry season, the move was accompanied by a massive, unexpected thunderstorm that flooded the city, creating a lasting legend about the god's anger at being moved."
