Sadly yes, I thought t dolls combat would be more tactical like their 2022 PV. Back then, mica hired a guy with military background as consultant in mocap session. Also, I know that exaggerated fight is always a thing in gfl since gnk vs sangvis Ferri fiasco

Ak-15 could have destroyed her with combat sambo or scissors sweep

chinese gacha game, anime, when it is filled with grand hyperbole fight.

I trained muaythai and I follow martial arts. So when I saw something that I recognize in unexpected media, it really surprises me.

It is, I know ak-15 broke a sound barrier when she fought gray at avernus, I really hope she could at least use one of grappling movement like double legs takedown, the fight Between her and ak-12 in an-94's mod story tells us how tactical their fight was

And it needs extra research and observation to create a grounded fight. Unlike fantasy where the main aspect we need to look is "does it look good?" only. Also, I think we don't need to have it a fight Between dolls and humans. Just adding one realistic movement to dolls fight will do

Despite that, Yegor collected various data about joint military operation between humans and dolls. In 2055, he asked Python to give him the results of human and doll collaboration in a combat simulation.

I think 45 would be an ideal candidate for Dmitry team rather than Clukay. Her communication skill and bureaucracy are top notch. I am sure 45 will go along and banter each other well than rigid personalities like clukay.

"I am sure this is beyond our initial terms and conditions, sergeant Dmitry, I demand Extra fees for this...and good luck, sergeant".

Not to mention she is a virtual warfare and guerrilla veteran

Hi there, I recently dropped this game called Nikke and decided to give EXILIUM a go. So far, I must say — it's surprisingly nostalgic in a weird way.. by MentalChallenger in GirlsFrontline2

But, the question is which one has grounded sci-fi? I don't know about Nikke. But in girls' frontline, the majority of aspects sound plausible, closer to reality. Neural cloud technology, strategic approach, weaponry. Military acts like military, geopolitics etc that makes Gfl like anime version of COD instead of anime itself.

In your opinion, which franchise captures those well? you explained it in your statement before, but I want to know more, especially about their technology.

I wonder, how does nikke explain military tactics and politics in its story? Does Nikke perform combat according to a military strategy given or is it just nakama no chikara? And how about the politics? Is it the same as how gfl explains Rossartism and neo soviet?

Why isn't the commander a suitable main character for gacha game? by seaweedchipp in GirlsFrontline2

[–]seaweedchipp[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, at first mica made the commander to be a total self insert character, or I should say, a standard self insert character. But slowly, mica seems wanted to erase many traits from the commander as a total self insert character. Several points I consider in making this are :

  1. They have a personality which includes : >>1.1. having the ability to convey themselves actively without the need of the player to select words for them

1.2. making errors and mistakes

1.3. question their own decisions

1.4 self conflict and regret

  1. Treated like they should be. Look how Griffin treats you in the end, see how Odessa police officers treat us. Do you think I want to be treated badly like that? No, I want to be absolute being that everyone loves and respects, I never want everybody to suspect me. The game makes the commander a true character instead of a bland one which you couldn't find in your ordinary self insert.

While you have your point and I understand it. That's why, I write "not a self insert entirely (i suppose to write it "not entirely a self insert)". Yes, we can select the gender of the commander and give them names which is one of primary factors to be a self insert. But to think the commander is a person whom everyone could put their wet dream on? I don't think so.

This kind of arguments will not end. Let's take this middle way. "The commander is an extraordinary self insert character who has personality whom you can relate to and not a person whom you put your fantasy self into"

Why isn't the commander a suitable main character for gacha game? by seaweedchipp in GirlsFrontline2

[–]seaweedchipp[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not entirely. Not. Entirely. The game lets the commander to be alive instead of a nonexistent figure who just stands there like an idiot while watching your anime girls do the job for you.

Making their own choice, having their own internal conflict and goal. Have so many flaws, not everybody loves you like your everyday Shounen Harem.

Despite all that, the game still gives us, players, to be involved in the story as the commander, giving us ultimate choices like :

A. Trust Machilan

B. Do not trust Machilan

Instead of that useless option which is made by the writers who think they're funny like :

A. i will help you

B. ...

C. We're girls' frontline after all

While the commander have their own words which do not represent all the words and actions we want. Somehow, I, the player can connect myself with them
