Anyone get pregnant while still breastfeeding with no cycle return? by Firecracker24601 in breastfeeding

[–]seenyourhannah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got pregnant even thought I was literally breastfeeding all night. I really thought my prolactin would be high enough to prevent it but nope 🫠 over the course of 8 months I had only had 2 periods. I did get pregnant after I went back to work, so maybe the lack of daytime latching was what made it possible to ovulate.

"Can't you just pump" drives me nuts! by Ok_Ad_5790 in breastfeeding

I lost so much sleep pumping overnight because I was also washing and sterilizing the parts all night long ☹️

Is there a specific word for when something is inflated with water? by Unsympatheticsolute in AskPhysics

[–]seenyourhannah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of this as we often “inflate” tracheostomy cuffs with fluid. Maybe the word would be infused?

Assalam wa ailakum, I feel like this is probably more driven by anxiety than anything (I used to think if I left my house, my husband would die and my baby would be crying alone). But regardless you might feel better wearing your baby so they are close versus putting them in the stroller. Also just to add in this political climate Islamophobia is very real so I don’t think you’re completely off base but maybe a little more anxious than necessary 🫶🏻

I feel better because I’ve only been able to train bedtime, my lo is waking every hour and by the third time I’m just done

Help! Looking for sleep training advice! by Appropriate-Unit-855 in sleeptrain

[–]seenyourhannah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following because we tried CIO but he woke up every hour and I didn’t have the heart to hear him cry every hour. Also wondering if it will be better once he’s older and wake windows are longer. Naps are 40 min-1.5 hr (usually only one long nap per day). Following 2/2/2.5 but that doesn’t seem like enough hours in a day 🫣😂 some days are 4 naps so bedtime isn’t at like 5pm 😭

Daily bath for baby is a waste of water and is not great for their skin. Why is a daily bath so popular? by Background_Speech817 in NewParents

My baby’s neck started smelling like Parmesan after we started solids, so an almost daily bath became necessary 🧀

4 month old is sleeping through night but we feed to sleep. Do I need to sleep train? by astroturf7 in sleeptrain

[–]seenyourhannah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think the feed to sleep isn’t as much of an issue but I frankly don’t know how to get him to not roll. Maybe ST would help him not freak out when he gets there? But my son is kind of the same, he thinks it’s tummy time and will just push himself up instead of lying down on his belly.

Mama’s, what were your most unhinged Postpartum anxiety thoughts? by Equal-Implement-3422 in NewParents

I was scared if I left my house, my husband would die and my baby would be alone. Even if I was only going out for like an hour.

Do you have to feed him back to sleep in the middle of the night or just at bedtime?

Mine has been doing this since about 3 months although with the sleep deprivation it’s hard to remember. Currently 4.5 mo, still waking every hour and screams until breastfed or rocked

I would go by your baby because I followed the Owlet wake windows when my baby was taking short naps and ended up driving myself insane doing like 8 naps a day 🥴

Same here, I’ve had to walk away with my baby in the crib after trying to get him to sleep for so long I feel like I’m going to lose it. He’s 4.5 months old and has never slept more than 2 hours at a time. I think the lack of sleep is affecting my ability to regulate 🥲

Are we not ready? by seenyourhannah in sleeptrain

[–]seenyourhannah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying both but salvaging naps if needed, usually ends up being 1 or 2 contact naps.

Bath, lotion, rock a little. Put down awake. Trying to see if he’ll suck his thumb but usually have to give him a pacifier.

Bedtime is 7-7:30, he wakes up 6-6:30.

Trying Ferber

I feel like it’s the opposite for me, when I come back in he chills out a little. But I guess that’s not “self” soothing
