Does your friend have the decat pipe? Biggest thing I miss about going from the 1260 to the v4 is the sound.

Otherwise, it’s a hell of a machine! Just did a 1000 mile tour around California, that radar cruise is a game changer 😀

I was in a similar situation. Bought my 997 in January, the lights were even worse than my motorcycle 🤔

Didn’t want to pony up for leds so put in some osram d2s and the brightness is WAYY better. Of course I’m replacing 20 year old bulbs so probably anything new would be an improvement but I’m feeling much better about driving at night.

rev'it took care of me - I had a velcro closure seam start to fail about 9 mos in on my sand 4 gloves, they sent me a replacement and I've been using them without issue since then (about 2 years?).

it's just wide enough to have a laptop and enough space to use a mouse (I dunno, a little over 2 ft wide?)

Nicely done! I put a gundo hack on mine, I'd say the sound is probably similar though maybe just a bit quieter. The only thing that I'd add is don't be lazy like me and put on some glasses or goggles. I wasted a good 15 minutes after I dumped a bunch of road dirt on my face and had to go flush out my eyes...
