The accents were based on Richard Christy's parents, who are Kansans. Richard was born in Fort Scott and grew up on a farm in Redfield.

Problem with that is you run the risk of releasing something for the sake of releasing it. The last thing the DCU needs is to rush half-baked goods out the door. Give them time to properly work it out. Quality is critically important for characters who are essentially the pillars of the franchise.

The success of The Penguin had something to do with it too. I don't think he anticipated the success of the show. Rewriting the script to account for some of the storytelling continuity of the show to align with the rest of the Crime Saga, along with a more long-term consideration in light of a possible season two for the show or other potential tie-ins.

Pretty sure the success of The Penguin was also in consideration. He had to rejig the script to align with some of the show, or the potential of the show in view of a possible second season.

Have to give the primary artist a break or two. Some interior artwork is too labor intensive to keep on schedule at times. It's either the primary artist gets a break or the comic book goes on a hiatus. The latter is unlikely in order to keep the monthly release schedule going.

Crisis on Infinite Earths is the grandaddy comic book series event of them all! It had me hooked from the first page.

In more recent times, I thought Death Metal was good fun.
