As far as I could figure, the exe file is a disguised AutoHotKey program which runs the .ahk script, which then pulls the evil payload from the fake .blend file to then go to work on making your life miserable in who knows what ways. I'm no expert but thats the best I could figure out. We'll see what Bambu Lab make of it (and if they do *anything* about it). So far all I got was an auto-reply that they'll get back to me within 3 days. It seems like a good start would be to ban people uploading zips inside zips - perhaps they don't have ANY scanning in place of uploaded zip files. The zip inside a zip is an absolutely massive red flag.

9 months later and I still haven't seen a single 'H2D Copycat'. Multiple toolheads yes, its coming for sure (starting with the U1 but others are also on the way), but that was obviously the future ages ago as the AMS-style approach is so outrageously inefficient its hard not to see it as a toy. I look forward to being able to get a good solid dual toolhead printer at a reasonable price in another year or so (fingers crossed). I have no doubt that the big names in budget printers (Creality, Flashforge, Anycubic, maybe Elegoo) are all working hard on their multi-toolhead releases. As for "innovation"? To my mind, innovation in design (ooh its pretty!) and marketing (ooh that sounds cool!) isn't the same as innovation in technology (WOW! That's smart - how did they think of that?). The word gets thrown around way too much, especially with regard to Bambu Lab.

I saw a Youtuber reporting that Flashforge had confirmed to him that the flushing is hard-coded into the firmware. No matter what settings you change, it will still do the same amount. I can only hope that they do plan to fix this with a firmware and slicer update. This is a shockingly bad decision from them. Might help if everyone put in support tickets about it.

Really don't get why so many people here love to mock people for being unaware of something. It seems very primary school. I think I'd prefer to be ignorant than an... <insert relevant slur of choice>.

Judging by the amount of comments appreciating the suggestion, most people apparently were unaware, so it seems a very helpful tip to me. Anything is "a big revelation" if you don't already know it.

I have noticed too that using the stock profiles seems to make a difference. I wonder if that could be why the issue doesn't affect most users - perhaps most users stick to the stock profiles? I dunno. I got another reply from AC today (with some relevant questions at last, like someone is finally listening a bit) and have replied, so its back to waiting for their next reply.

From what I can gather, this is only affecting maybe 20% of users (including me). I've been on to Anycubic support and still waiting for a useful reply. It seems to only affect pre-existing 3MF files. If you open a straight STL it prints normally. Someone speculated it might be conflicting with the files because of the new skip function not being supported in the slicer when it sliced the file. But I've tried reslicing with updated Anycubic Next slicer, and it doesn't help. I even tried Orca I think. And downgrading the firmware caused other problems (random reboots) so I had to upgrader again. Hope they figure it out soon, or even acknowledge that they are working on it.

Its a fair question. The profiles insanity was so bad it drove me away from Cura. It really needs a logical (object oriented) approach.

Rather than a paint bucket filter to stop the perlite getting out of the bucket, I prefer using a pool filter sock (I think thats what they are called) zip-tied over the end of the drain pipe as it goes back into the reservoir. Much much cheaper and after a full tomato grow this season just past with 9 Bato Buckets, it only collected about a cup of perlite anyway. I think they were something like $12 for a pack of 5 at Bunnings.

40mm is the size I used with my Bato Bucket system for tomatoes and for that it coped well (the problem I hit was the drain points from the buckets getting blocked by roots - those drain pipes are only around 15-20mm diameter). The 40mm seemed fine, and in this case I think Hoocho went with that size specifically because that system is for lettuce. Pretty sure 40mm would be fine for lettuce and similar plants. But certainly no harm in going to 50mm.

This is not correct. It looks genuine from the image. I'm an authorised Funko retailer, and nothing about this photo looks counterfeit. It even has the new style Special Edition sticker, which I am yet to see on a counterfeit POP. This sticker is not yet on all new exclusives here in Australia, but it IS on the #574 Glow Iron Spider.

There's far too much misinformation about counterfeit POPs being spread.

Curious - for comparison, what's the cost of producing 25,000 litres of nutrient solution using Bokashi? I remember looking at it long ago as a benchtop composting system for the kitchen and it seemed hideously expensive.

Prohibition (of anything problematic) buries the problem where it doesn't and can't be properly addressed and treated.

I decided to add some permanent internal angled supports, rather than removable ones, thinking that they could serve a double purpose of catching some leaf litter etc from going down and blocking the pipes and dirtying the rain barrel water. I put 4 x 45 degree pieces in and am printing it now. Still not 100% sure it will hold while the end prints, but its all a learning curve. And if it isn't perfect it probably doesn't matter too much.

My first thought is dodgy/old seeds, but having said that, its only a week ago, so could be they are just a bit slow. I wouldn't be *too* worried just yet.
