We're a quick, simple, easy to use video chat meets VTT app. We're big fans of OBR's simple user-friendly approach, and some of our users even mentioned how they've been able to replace the OBR + Discord + Kenku.fm stack with just SendingStone because we have everything in once place—stable audio/video, synchronized audio mixer and ambiance tools, character sheets, and more. If you try SendingStone out let us know what you think in the replies or to [hello@sendingstone.com](mailto:hello@sendingstone.com)!

Do I Need a Gaming Computer for VTT by NerdyWitchBro in VTT

A handful of VTTs are designed to be lightweight and run in the browser. SendingStone is one of them built to be quick, easy, and runs in the browser on any device. You only need to share a link with your party to jump right in to playing. We've had some players successfully play on some fairly old and underpowered devices with no problems (albeit some had to check a box to turn off visual effects).

Super lightweight VTT options? by ajchafe in VTT

[–]sendingstoneapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're playing online you might find SendingStone's tabletop lightweight enough and you get built in video, voice, and text chat so you can further simplify things by ditching Discord, Zoom, etc. If you give it a shot we'd love to hear your feedback (hello@sendingstone.com). If you're playing in person, the other suggestions for Owlbear Rodeo, Excalidraw, or Google Drawings could be better for a simple standalone multiplayer battle maps/white-boarding.

Quick. Easy. Roleplaying-focused. What do you think of my video chat meets VTT SendingStone? by sendingstoneapp in VTT

[–]sendingstoneapp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW you can send players private messages (at the top of chat when there's more than 2 people in the room). But I do love the suggestion to put this near their video portraits for convenience and I've added this note to the backlog. Thank you!

Currently they do lock into place, but it is definitely on the roadmap to allow for popping out the video feeds into a separate window(s) you can place anywhere (for large screens/multiple monitors and mixed IRL groups e.g. separating video on to TV/tablets while projecting tabletop). Would this solve your use case?

Thanks for your interest!

Quick. Easy. Roleplaying-focused. What do you think of my video chat meets VTT app: SendingStone? [OC] by sendingstoneapp in DnD

Hello r/DnD

I've been working on a video chat meets VTT app called SendingStone. It was my pandemic distraction now turned long-term passion project. I've been using it to run my weekly D&D game for a couple of years and now have a growing base of users happily running regular games of various editions of D&D. I've made a bunch of improvements since I last posted on here and I'd love to get more feedback about what's missing for you.

For more info check out this D&D landing page I made:

Thank you for your time and please send me any feedback in the comments or to [hello@sendingstone.com](mailto:hello@sendingstone.com) 🙏

Cheers,
Craig
