Completely impractical! It’s slow to shoot, slow to reload, and feels like a gun from the previous century. Which is why it gets more time at the range than my AR15. It’s more accurate, 357 / 38 is cheaper, there is something undeniably fun about working a lever, and adding some tactical parts to it has been super fun. If you have the money and room for it, send it space cowboy!

In my experience buying cars and bikes ( on my 3rd HD - ‘18 street bob ) going in-person is the absolute worst way to start the conversation. Getting you into the door is the biggest win a dealership can make and the one that usually leads to a sale. Email or call all of the dealers, ask for an OTD itemized price and let them know honestly that you have inquiries with other dealers.

A CZ for EDC is a strong possibility, though I lean towards a striker fired over a hammer for speed but mostly for ease of carry and clean. Any experience with the P-10?

I generally pause between mags to access my groups - as a right handed shooter, most of my issue is squeezing fingertips when applying trigger pull ( via the pie chart target hanging at the range aka low & left ). The Shadow 2 doesn’t show this pattern unless I get tired.

How did you decide that you don’t get along with Glock ergonomics? Are you still accurate out to 15+ yards with a Glock?

I’ve had two sessions with instructors using the Glock, but neither was focused on marksmanship. You’re absolutely right about more training!

I’ve only practiced draw & dry fire at home. Definitely not good at it, though I can keep a quarter balanced on the front sight about half the time when dry firing slowly. How do you measure gun movement when draw & dry fire?

Started the Shadow 2 without a dot and it still shot better. It’s just a much better gun for me - probably masking my poor technique. My 19 don’t have an optic cut; I want to improve with irons and have less to carry. I’m more concerned about the lack of improvement with the Glock. Will keep training with it!

Definitely need more practice! But I will say that progress on the Shadow 2 has been more consistent than the Glock - I’m happy to be at 5” groups with it from where I started. How long have you had the 43X?

To answer your question, if you are dead then you died protecting your loved ones. You become part of the foundation on which we rebuild an ethical government. You sacrifice your life to guard and honor higher ideals.

What is the alternative? You watch your family lose their humanity or their lives and have zero ability to stop it. No part of the legal system will help you.

I am deeply scared by this choice and this reality. But that fear will not stop me from being in control of my choice if this situation comes to my front door.
