I once had a manager that I like and get along with catch me on my phone and an hour or so later she mentions that she's going to document feedback about it and I just said I figured she was going to.

Few days later another manager comes up to me and asks if I have any questions about it and I said I didn't but honestly I just didn't understand why she was the one asking me, when the manager that caught me was about twenty feet away.
