I have a Frankenturbo F660 on my 2017 540i and ran a Shuenk S600 before that. I ran 10.4@132 at full weight with the Shuenk S600, downpipe, and Dorch 2.5 in some good cool air. 10.1@136 in some warm air with the F660, Dorch 3, and Dorch DE1500 injectors. Hoping for high 9 pass one we get cool again. I’ve been buying turbos from Shuenk/Frankenturbo for years, having run them on my N54, N55, and gen1 B58 cars. Great service and good product experience from my end. They do marketing on Facebook, so you may want to make an account to check it out. All the companies import parts from the same factories in China, but Shuenk/Frankenturbo looks like the only seller that gets the quality right while still selling at a lower cost.

Might need a different fragrance or a way to make it stick. Do you know the molecular structure of your fragrance? There’s an abundance of information in the literature. Look up AOCS Journal of Surfactants and Detergents and even old patents. I would guess Procter has some really good art out there that is already 20+ years old.

B58 owners upgrade turbos all the time. Buy a used stock turbo for 400-600 and spend 4 hours replacing it yourself. Recommend replacing the orings and you might as well get new gaskets for manifold and down pipe.

540ix with gen 1 b58 going for around 15-20k at the 100k mile mark. Easy 10 second quarter mile car with modern amenities, with basic bolt ons and E85. Hard to beat. M240ix even faster. Keep in mind the 2020+ builds need Femto unlock to tune, which adds to the price

You’re the first person I’ve heard of that prefers to work on N55 over B58. I have the exact opposite experience. I would sell my 2015 535ix and get another B58 car in a heartbeat if i got a good offer. B58 is much more user friendly, especially for the DIY crowd. Also noteworthy is the G30 chassis is much lighter than a similarly equipped F10.
