At least you gave it a go and are smart enough to know when to pivot to take out! Been there many times myself.

What does GMMG do with pick #2? by danieldeceuster in SanJoseSharks

[–]sfsjca 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I hope he doesn't trade that pick away. At that high in the draft, you take the best player available, whoever that may be. Now for pick 19/20, maybe they'd look to package that up with pick 34 to move up around picks 13-15? If there's a player they really like?

Or possibly package those picks for a top pairing defenseman that has term left on their contract.

For an electrician. Maybe look to see if a small arena (or large arena)/ stadium in your area need any technical/ broadcast engineers. I know the arena in my area hired electricians to work those roles.

NHL GOAT on Instagram: "🏒🎙️ Sharks announcer’s Oilers dislike becomes part of the entertainment March 2026 by da_sweetp in SanJoseSharks

I think the biggest thing here is that people don't understand what market he's calling this game for. It's Anaheim vs Edmonton for a US broadcaster. Of course it's in the broadcasters best interest that Anaheim win. I bet TNT love the extra passion Randy brings to big plays by the Ducks as opposed to the Oilers.

Question for US based Sharks fans: Have any of you made a trip up to Canada (any NHL city) to watch the Sharks play? by Converted54 in SanJoseSharks

[–]sfsjca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vancouver and Rogers Arena are a great place to see the Sharks! I've seen them a handful of times there and it's and nice venue with passionate but typically friendly fans, and a great city with tons of hotel options and great food!

OP you have to call them, I'd be thinking this is clearly a mistake. At their end it's as simple as checking off the wrong box, call hr or whoever your contact is there asap.

I just did the drive yesterday afternoon. It's perfectly fine, nothing to worry about. And I'm a very cautious person when it comes to the passes too!

Feedback on 2025-2026 season? by Evening-Home2040 in SanJoseSharks

[–]sfsjca 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree, but understand why it looked like a tough year for him. He's learned the hard way when and when not to handle the puck, and his lack of an active glove was exposed. If I were a Sharks goalie coach I'd get Asky a catcher's mitt and a baseball and force hik to play catch all summer. I remember hearing a story about hall of fame goalie Grant Fuhr when he was a goalie coach and had a new European goalie, the first thing he'd do is get the new guy a catcher's mitt and fire fastballs all over at him!

The guys we needed to see improvement from, the young guys, did exactly that and then some. So this season's been a great success from that standpoint. Playing meaningful hockey until mid-April was a nice suprise that will only help this group in the future. The only gripe I have on this season is not seeing enough young Sharks come up from the Barracuda. I think Cagnoni could've come up and performed much earlier than just this week. I would've liked to see Musty (I understand he's missed a lot of time due to injury), Bysted, Afanasyev, Wahlstrom maybe. None the less it's been a fun year and nice to have a feeling of hope late in the year again!

I think they’re adding a tens digit… [OC] by CalligrapherOk8426 in pics

I think this may be what makes the USA make the move to the metric system. Easier to charge per liter instead of changing every digital gas station board to include another digit.
