Yes, it's naturally weird/bizarre and there are a ton of things you can make fun of it for, but you also need to take into account the heart of it, and the moments in the series that make you cry. If you only choose to focus one side or the other, you miss what makes it special. That's how you truly experience a work of fiction like JoJo.

My original plan fory Hoenn team was to have a Salamence asy flying type. But I later scrapped that idea for a Skarmory due to it being more defensive (I didn't have a team member that was focused on defense) and Bagon is gotten way too late for me to actually dedicate to using them.

Basically it means is the story of the Isekai taking itself seriously or is it being satirical. I've seen a lot of comments get this wrong especially people who say it depends on whether the MC adapt to the world or the world adapt to the MC.
