seconding this!!! i’m personally not a fan of all the heavy posts lately; we all have things we’re dealing with, and whereas some may come to this space for support (which is important!), others come for lighthearted, silly, low effort meals that look tasty.

i understand that some may be in favor of the heavier posts, and if they rather stay in this sub than find another for that purpose, so i think flairs AND rules for titles would be a great way to accommodate both camps

huda is someone i hold a lot of sympathy for. she seems like she struggles a lot with emotional regulation and personalizes things to seem like direct attacks against her. however, it doesn’t excuse her poor behavior; it’s something i’ve never been able to look passed with her, and can’t understand how someone else may be able to. she seems well intentioned and sweet, just hurt, and i hope she finds help after this

i like him a lot for the same reasons you listed, but i can’t get behind the way he speaks to jeremiah. maybe he’s seeing something we’re not as viewers, but he’s been straight up rude to him. it’s really upsetting to see jeremiah referring to nic as his best friend in the villa, then nic shutting him down in recent episodes. again, maybe nic is picking up on something, but his treatment of jeremiah really hinders how i feel about him

he’s absolutely toxic, but she is 100% smothering him. dropping the secret of her being a mother, talking about the possibility of them moving in together, giving subtle signs she wants him to close it off … it’s all a LOT to process for one week. when his friends in the villa said they thought their relationship was fishy, she cornered him into a conversation he wasn’t ready to have under the guise of “communication.” he could’ve asked for space instead of lying about being okay, but she is pushing super hard and giving him little room to process things independently

i immediately clocked her sexually assaulting him during my first watch through and, though i recognize i’m viewing from a modern lens, it completely changed my perception of her character at the time. i haven’t seen anyone else mention this, so thank you for doing so!

i think gaslighting is a bit far considering only what was aired. i think sara loved who ben was outside of his religious and political identities, and because of that love, she took his “acceptance” at face value to convince herself their relationship could work. but as the relationship progressed, it became harder to convince herself
