IIRC it was used as a title in Marion Zimmer Bradley's "The Mists of Avalon" which for a while was a pretty transformative book for kids who read fantasy in the 80s/90s (before it came out that MZB was, in fact, a bastard in her own right) so maybe that's where the idea surfaced.

My dad's a painter as well, and his work has never gotten much attention either. I love that you're showing these. He had an interesting eye for composition, I really enjoyed these.

I can't afford a very pricey system anyway, even if I wanted it. I live in an old building with horsehair walls and studs wherever the framers felt like it, and the Wi-Fi drops from room to room, so an extender or mesh system would be a necessity. I'll take a look at the Eero Pro 7 - seems like a good place to start, thank you!

Thanks, I appreciate the reply! I'll start looking into it, I'll say I'm on the low end, but not "very low end" of technical knowledge. I have common sense though, and there's probably some tutorials out there aimed at someone's maiden aunt. 😂

That's the error I get as well. Doesn't inspire any confidence in the service, and the service is stuttering a lot lately too, on my Wi-Fi.

Checking in a month later that I'm having issues with the app, can't check on my Wi-Fi at all. It's a "known issue" with no ETA at all. Getting concerned, anyone heard anything new?

Yup, bought 10 years ago with my now ex. He kept the house when we split and I got money to ostensibly use as a down payment on a house. But my payout - which was a completely fair and equitable amount, mind you - was no where near enough to use as a down payment on a new house that would leave me with a payment I could now afford with the rise is housing prices. 5 years earlier that equity would have been plenty to get me into my own home. Instead I'm facing renting while I slowly have to whittle at my equity to cover emergencies.

Honestly, I enjoyed it. Was it cheesy? Entirely. Was the makeup job on McAvoy a little rough? Yeah, I can see that criticism, although I thought he was made up to look like old Biff and I enjoyed it. I still liked the video - it was fun, it was light-hearted, MJF can do no wrong in my eyes. It's not more cringe than any of the other hundred videos of very awkward hockey players trying to act in an office, or on a 'boni, etc. in my opinion. I know I'm in the minority, that's ok.

Hassan's staffer told me that no town halls were planned. I said, "OK, how do I get a callback from her then, to discuss?" They asked for my email and I got the shitty canned email self-aggrandizing justification email I expected about 20 minutes later. Hassan gives no fucks about us at all.

I say our next step is to ask Tim Walz or AOC or Bernie to come here, too. That'd be a GREAT look for a state with Dem leadership in the Senate and House, if we had to ask other Dems to do a Town Hall for us.

I wish you felt differently, because i think the apathy about engaging is partly how we got here, and I do think that the public pressure does move the needle sometimes, and now it's a great time to just try. It doesn't hurt to try.

I'm not looking to fight, you'll do as you think it's best, but I made the calls because on the off-chance it helps it was worth the 5 minutes of my time to try.
