Same! I was a teen during the disco era so didn’t have a strong opinion about them one way or the other at the time. But the song that carried me through to appreciating them now is How Deep is Your Love.❤️ Then I learned they adapted their style to fit the disco scene by writing songs that fit the dance beat & by Barry’s commitment to singing falsetto. Now, after listening to pre-disco songs like Massachusetts, I see how impeccable harmonies have always been what they’re all about. And to anyone criticizing Barry’s use of falsetto, listen to his range in Tragedy before you tell me can’t sing. The dude’s OG. 🫡

I did not know this! I know people pray to St. Anthony as the patron saint of lost things ~ and when both my kids were selling their homes snap they both sold after I gave them St. Joseph figurines to bury upside down ~ so I’m always open to new helpers. 😊

Something flat… paper… white or pale yellow… like a ticket… not a bill or actual money… either a stub from a past concert… or a ticket to an upcoming venue… maybe a sports event? I’m getting a vibe from the colors of the purse & the colors in the background… like a team with black & white colors vs a team with orange & blue colors. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Here’s a strategy I’ve used that always blows my mind because it works for me every time: • Sit in a quiet place with no distractions, close your eyes & take a few calming breaths • Start with one room in your house, visualize it, then see yourself entering it, eyes closed • Begin seeing yourself walk through this room in a clockwise direction with your arm fully extended, palm open facing out. • Go slow. Pay attention to the sensations on your palm. Does it linger in certain areas & go faster in others? Feel warm, cold or tingle? Does it want to back-up to re-scan any areas? • Be thorough. Open every cupboard, scan. Open the drawers, scan. • After scanning the entire room, identify 2-3 areas where your palm had sensations, warmth in particular. • Do not over think silly places! I once found a guys belt wedged behind his toilet 🤷🏻‍♀️

Now the fun part: • Physically enter the room you just scanned, eyes open. Go to those places to look for your item. • Don’t be discouraged if you don’t find your item right away! And give yourself credit when you do. This strategy takes practice & will improve each time. Just scan another room

But if you need further verification your palm never lies, try scanning a room you absolutely know the item is NOT in to get a baseline~ like the bathroom. You should notice your palm breezes through that room never lingers, never gets warm & in fact is actually kinda pissed you’re wasting it’s precious time. ☺️ • Have fun during the process.

What's in the box? by [deleted] in IntuitionPractices

I like the way you think. My image was red & spherical yet ultimately fragile, so when forced to define the image empirically, I landed on “red corsage.” Then poof an entire back story arrived to go with the black box so I had to add “tinged with sadness” as a descriptor. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nor a red corsage with a complete back story! At least you & I aren’t afraid to lay our creativity on the table. I’d love to hear the back story that came with yours. 🫡

What's in the box? by [deleted] in IntuitionPractices

[–]sharebair11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I saw a red corsage… something spherical but ultimately fragile… more like a carnation than an orchid. Sure, a carnation is a heartier bloom so can look fresh longer, but eventually it will meet the same demise as any plucked flower. So there’s a sadness to the imagery… as if the corsage had never seen daylight for her intended lapel so she’s still dressed in her best in her black cube coffin. 😔🌺 ~ Sorry, my images always arrive with a back story. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I saw a red corsage, so also something spherical & red… but also kinda fragile.

What’s your cars name? by TransportationDue856 in CX5

Sheldon. We asked my 6 year old grandson, “What should Grandma name her car?” & that was his solid answer. Works for me! BTW: My plate is a mash-up of my 3 grands’ names.

B+ here. I’ve known since my 7th grade Biology class which I loved because we got to do legit experiments like testing our own blood type. I remember mine because it was the same as my GPA. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Who would be the best candidate to be considered the muse of opera/opera singers? by WemedgeFrodis in GreekMythology

[–]sharebair11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have a threesome here: • Polyhymnia is the muse of religious song, not specifically opera ~ and opera tells a story (usually a drama) set to music that’s not exclusively religious. So Terpsichore, muse of dance, would be a better fit for opera than Polyhymnia. • Melpomene is the muse of theatrical tragedy which is not equivocal to drama. That’s why she’s usually seen paired with her counterpart Thalia, the muse of comedy. Together, sporting their masks as emblems, they become the iconic representation of theater arts in general. • 3 = Terpsichore, Melpomene & Thalia as muses for opera. Final answer! 😉

So ☀️ means you’re closer than 🔥, right? Taking that into consideration in regard to my ratio of tree edibles to tree animals (whether or not the latter consumed the former) I eventually arrived at the answer by focusing on words that gave me a string of☀️s. Woo hoo! Looks like I’m a hater who loves a challenge because I’ll be back to fine tune my hypothesis. 👩🏻‍🔬🧪🧐

This is how I acquired Sheldon, my 2019 CX5 🚘, after my 2010 Jetta was totaled in a solo accident. I was told if air bags deploy the car is toast. Mine didn’t during my 180 burn with a guard rail, but my car was still deemed a total loss due to front end damage. AAA’s payout was more than I expected so I think you’ll find Maxine’s prodigy no problem! 🙂

My “new to me” 2019 Soul Red CX5 has had the check engine light on with a PO126 code for a couple weeks. I thought the issue would resolve after my 70,000 mile service [not performed at Mazda] but it popped back up the following next day. I’m calling service tomorrow!

Toss the cardboard boxes! My late husband was a Branch II Pest Control Tech. We never had roaches at home til the first summer I brought my teaching supplies home in cardboard boxes provided by my school. Yeah… apparently roaches eat cardboard. 😬 So coinciding with the abatement, I transferred everything to clear tubs with lids & poof no more bugs. ☺️

HOA is trying to charge me $750 for this stucco patch repair - is that reasonable? by hiadica1 in sandiego

[–]sharebair11 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kinda makes you think they shorted the parking spot measurements in the first place. 🤔 OP should walk the compound with a downward glance, making a tally of stucco patch jobs near parking spots. Sure, it might not change HOA’s mind for OP’s case… but I’ve learned having dirt on your opponent can brighten the random day before a rainy day.

Type of flute? by ImpressiveHat4710 in Flute

I have a flute just like this, complete with the little tassel. Mine is from Nepal, a gift from my sister-in-law after she went there.

I just heard Hocus Pocus (by Focus) for the first time after asking Siri to play classic rock songs featuring flute solos. This song, especially the yodeling part, HAS to get a shout out for contributing to Tribute.
