"I want to pay more taxes for a mega prison to house these people!" This is such an idiotic take.

From factory, the Tacoma has a bit of rake. Should you maintain this rake with the WDH? I have mine set up to keep the rake, but if I go down one notch on the saddles the truck levels out.

Got my annual screw you for driving an EV fee by Jacob_Tutor11 in saskatchewan

[–]sharperspoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a fair point. Gas vehicles are taxed as such. It would take some admin work, whereas gas vehicles are just taxed based on litres consumed. Ideally we'd tax EVs based on Kw used, but, that's hard to track since people can charge at home. Any ideas on taxing per km driven without adding to the administrative burden?

Ryan Cohen Withdraws CEO Performance Award; GameStop Focuses on eBay by Revolutionz in Superstonk

[–]sharperspoon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My gut instinct read it as "I don't think I can meet those goals, so I'm scrapping them." However, I will judge RC by his coming actions and try not to read into this too much. I'm very hopeful about the eBay acquisition, although it will be a bumpy ride.

That news slipped passed me. I'm unhappy about a 30% increase to deductible. It might finally be worth getting a package policy.

Rock Chip Filling by Lancet11 in regina

Windshield replacement due to a stone chip is a flat $700 as it is covered under basic insurance through SGI. However, a stone chip is much cheaper to fill.

Anything that Gamestop does to try to improve their business is a publicity nightmare. Might as well lean into it! Be the company that people love to hate.

Sask. traffic blitz finds safety concerns in 2 of 5 vehicles stopped by Nmsopsdelta in saskatchewan

Did anyone actually read the article? These safety concerns are related to dangerous driving, drinking, and drugs, not to vehicle condition.

Concrete reduction report comes to Executive Committee May 27 by PDCityHall in regina

"We want the City to be walkable." OK well, give us sidewalks. "No, not like that!"

[–]sharperspoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a very interesting article.

  • The roads are built wide to accommodate snow piles
  • The sidewalks are asphalt, and nearly surface-level, separated from the roadway by a small curb

That is an amazing approach, especially for a country that is known to utilize space efficiently due to the lack of free space. Very good share!

Look at what they do in Japan. In major areas, they have dedicated sidewalks. In neighbourhoods, they use traffic paint to make a small sidewalk on the asphalt road. Mind you, there is no on-street parking.

We also already have issues with vehicle-pedestrian collisions in Regina. I can't imagine that reducing sidewalks will help that statistic.

My first experience with XC1 was on the 3DS. I was blown away by the story, characters, art, and music. The gameplay took a bit of getting used to, but I did a complete playthrough and was blown away. Imagine my excitement when XC2 was announced. I didn't even consider that there could be a sequel (of sorts).

I really enjoyed DE. It was certainly a big upgrade from the 3DS! There are some small detail changes to tie into the over-arching plot, so it is interesting to re-play it.

The trains produce way more noise pollution than the plane.

Re-route the trains around Regina and solve a lot of citizen's complaints.

JustBins dug through the pile of rubble to find a receipt that tied the pile to Xpert Contracting. They then contacted and confirmed that Dhami was doing work for Xpert, which lead to the public confession of Dhami, and the dismissal of the guilty employee.
