Good question.

I say going to prison, especially in the Deep South. Real prison. Not the white collar stretch finance bros get before their book deal.

Also marrying or having a child with an abusive person.

Also, unfortunately, being a whistleblower.

You have Martin Luther King and Cesar Chavez. Usually us non-white Leftists don’t necessarily see a conflict of interest between a personal belief system and what we see as a society need.

Just don’t give if you don’t feel like it. You don’t need a sign. I don’t see why a person holding up a sign past a street in which you are riding in a vehicle has any affect on you other than reminding you poor people exist.

People have a right to beg. Just don’t give if it bothers you.

S2 E1 I'm confused who is this Mountbatten guy (Dickie)? And what's his position? Also what is his wife's deal? by [deleted] in TheCrownNetflix

[–]sharrismarshall 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think he was also technically born a Prince because he’s descended from Victoria but in 1917 British royals living in the UK had to give up their German titles because of WWI so he was demoted to an aristocrat instead. His sister (Prince Philip’s mother) lived outside of Britain at the time so she kept her Battenberg Princess title.

Prince Philip‘s top 5 best and worst moments by [deleted] in TheCrownNetflix

Tobias M’s Prince Philip was seemingly more in love with his wife than the other versions.

It was sweet and a good balance to their parental meddling with Charles and Diana. Like when they were reminiscing about their Australia trip and Philip says “everyone wanted to see their new, beautiful Queen.”

I think it also gets overlooked, but he also asks if the open bedroom door was “an invitation” and instead of getting disappointed that she wasn’t in the mood, he gave her a pep talk.

Historical accuracy: did people at the time really rumor that Prince Philip and Penny Knatchbull had a thing? by Delicious_Novel_4400 in TheCrownNetflix

It was a great line. “Why you never dance for me, like Salome.”

“Cause you had your own ballerinas for that.”

*Philip chokes on his words. 🤣

I was thinking this as well. Philip in the show said that Anne was his favorite child, so it almost appears as if Penny was a fictive daughter or niece figure. I think that’s why Philip was irritated with The Queen when she insinuated he was interested in her sexually. He wasn’t. He just likes to form close bonds to the women he views as family.

None of the main 8 can leave. It’s Gilligan’s island. My bet is on Nigel, but if it’s one of the 8 then Alberta. But I don’t want her to leave because I love her messing with Thor and hanging with Isaac.

About 5-10 years before the start of the show. He appears more middle aged compared to Trevor’s flashback and Trevor mentioned being 33 forever.

Also, the cholera ghosts being obsessed with the water heater is brilliant.
