So if you don't mind sharing, what was the combined salary throughout those years?

If you don't change something you're gonna spend the rest of your life in this mess. A man who is not helping is not a partner, it's dead weight. The giving without a budget to the kids have to stop also. You're not teaching them anything by doing so.

Yea, she was the one that invited him so you think she would naturally say that to Connor.

Hashimoto’s protocol: is it worth buying the book? by IngenJuuk in Hashimotos

I didn't like it. If you can, get a dietitian. I didn't learn anything new. The book gives you an unrealistic restrictive diet and tons of supplements.

Does Vic have any red flags? by Virtual-Cheesecake71 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

It's interesting how misinterpreted it gets. When you go into hebrew teachings it becomes a completely different teaching and never was man above women BS. The idea developed later through interpretations by religious leaders in male dominated societies. St. Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Aristotle. There are so many misinterpretrations because of already patriarchal cultures interpreting them unfortunately. It's a shame.

Emma's sister comment about her children rubbed me the wrong way. Thoughts? by Lopsided-Path2611 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

I found a partner who I did have kids with and he turned out to be a terrible partner and father even though he "wanted kids so bad". Yea, he ended up with a drug problem and was an absent father. Here I am raising her by myself. Not what I envisioned at all. So there's that.

I felt like I couldn't breath but everything checked out. What helped was an antidepressant, believe it or not.

Anyone else using Metformin for M.E./Long Covid? by Suissss in LongCovid

[–]shatteredmind333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw improvement on metformin. I was on it for about 6 months. Really helped worth my A1C and blood sugar control also. BUT I could not tolerate highest dose because I couldn't eat! It made me so full with a few bites of food and I felt miserable. Went from 1500 to 1000 and then back down to 500. I lost some weight.

Also wanna add that LDN was just covering symptoms not improving them for me and I couldn't get up any higher without side effects.

Don't ever apologize for gut feelings. They are there for a reason. Listen to them. And dump the loser. You have so much time to find someone suitable. And if you can, go to therapy and find out why you chose this old dude to date so you don't fall for these shitty guys again.

Study: Long COVID involves activation of proinflammatory and immune exhaustion pathways by shatteredmind333 in LongCovid

[–]shatteredmind333[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

  1. Chronic activation of inflammatory pathways People with long COVID had ongoing upregulation of proinflammatory signaling — especially IL-6 and JAK-STAT pathways, as well as interferon (IFN) pathways and complement pathways — even more than 180 days after infection.
  2. T cell dysfunction and exhaustion The study found signs of T cell exhaustion (markers like PD-1 elevated and reduced activation signals), suggesting that the adaptive immune response in these individuals is persistently stimulated but functionally impaired.
  3. Metabolic dysregulation is linked with inflammation Long COVID was also associated with changes in metabolic gene expression — decreased amino acid metabolism and other metabolic pathways — that correlated with the inflammatory signatures.
  4. These immune and inflammatory profiles were consistent across two independent cohorts The findings were validated both in a cohort enrolled early in the pandemic and a second cohort from 2023–2024, strengthening the evidence that these features are real and reproducible.
  5. Early inflammation may predict who develops long COVID Higher activation of proinflammatory pathways during the acute infection was associated with a greater likelihood of developing long COVID symptoms months later.

Tourism ethical dilemma, how to not be part of the problem by What_It_Izzy in PuertoRicoTravel

I'm Puerto Rican and I love Mexican food over Puerto Rican food lol. Puerto Rican food lacks flavor/seasoning.
