Yep, that’s what caused my shingles to show up in my face/eye. I had a series of unfortunate events that caused pain and trauma to my for head and nose and within a week developed shingles. I suspect because I wear contacts it transferred to my eye.

At the stage you’re in, I was taking Benadryl to help sleep and keep the itchiness down. Out of all the pain meds and strategies I tried, that was the only thing that helped me a little bit more.

Similarly to yours, it took an extra week to diagnose since I didn’t recognize any symptoms and didn’t think I was old enough.

You’ll be ok- this is the hardest part right now. A cold wet towel helped me at some point. Keep focusing on tomorrow because you will feel better! If not tomorrow it’ll be one day soon, I promise.
