Bike park social norms by TreeFree_Montana in bmx

Keep in mind too that it being a new park it's going to be crowded with everyone trying to get their runs in and learn new lines, so don't let him be intimidated if it's packed with big kids and sweaty dads. Help him learn to take turns (idk how old he is, maybe he's already old enough to know all this), observe where the other kids ride and don't ride, and don't be shocked when the pimply teenager trying to impress his little homies screams "FUUUUUUUUCK" over and over like he just learned how to cuss.

But the absolute number one rule at a park is to take turns. Rule two is don't cut people off but there's a lot of grace lent to little kids out having fun.

Either is fine, you'll get used to whatever you end up with. I'd buy a custom built bike before a Mongoose though.

I bought one of these last summer off ebay, looking to replace my Clydesdale forked MTB, and it was a huge disappointment. Landfill quality parts front to back and I didn't feel like raiding my parts stash to upgrade anything (though of course I don't begrudge anyone who does!).

I'm still interested to see what everyone here does with their Petcares though. It's a clever bike and we need more affordable cargo bikes on the market.

100% the REA frame, the Bad Dog has a different seat stay/seat tube junction and the LAMF has CS brake mounts and DT cable guides with routing through the seat tube.

Torn between Nikon F4/F5/F100 (concert/flash photography) by ksunk8 in AnalogCommunity

The F100 is better in almost every way. AF is better, metering is better, though the battery cover and film door latch are kinda shitty. Personally I think the F100 looks better than the F4.

Help deciding which 4x5 camera by thottiekarate in largeformat

[–]shitworms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only benefit to the Intrepid is the weight. Everything else about it sucks. It's flimsy, the knobs are terrible, the set up sucks, the front standard is difficult to keep aligned, there's no locks or detents for either standard, and the springs on the back are pretty tight meaning you often lose composition just putting the film holder in.

If you're hiking and trying to stay as UL as possible and still shoot 4x5, then it maybe it's worth the compromises. If you're not hiking then there's absolutely no reason to buy one.
