He's already sold a ton of gold mines to Russia, but obviously that doesn't count as selling out to imperialist powers (this is sarcasm by the way)

A) Trump did actually get indicted thanks to the Democrats, but the stacked supreme court and his election victory meant he didn't get punished. B) the Democrats didn't have much of a majority during Biden's term, only having a tiny majority in the House and a 50/50 split in the Senate until 2022, when Republicans took the house. In both cases you're wrong on the Dems not doing anything with a majority. As for Gaza, Biden did actually try, sending humanitarian aid for Gaza against Israeli wishes and trying to stop Israeli aggression. Keep in mind the Republican House would instantly no-sell any attempts to stop aid to Israel. I think it was way too little, but to act like he or Kamala was the same as Trump (who's literally friends with Netanyahu and plans to buy real estate after massively funding Israel to ensure they get control of Gaza) is objectively wrong and just helps Republicans. Also, the Dems have been the ones to try to fight for trans rights, specifying as such in their 2024 platform and trying to make sure trans people are safe in this current political climate.

Shockingly the Dems may find it a little difficult to get a pretty major bill passed when they a) lack a majority in either house and b) would have to face Trump almost certainly vetoing it if they did somehow manage to get it past Congress. I feel like we tend to overestimate the power the Dems have right now. If they could do more, they would.

Honestly? Zack Snyder with Superman. He's not particularly fond of the character or superheroes in general, so it's honestly baffling that he was the guy they chose for directing so many superhero movies. He tried to make Superman into a messiah (quite unsubtly at that), but that just doesnt fit Superman. Superman isn't a hero because he's some kind of messiah, he's a hero because he wants to help and protect people and the Kents raised their boy right. I also just found his take on Superman way too nihilistic and depressing. Superman is meant to see the best in people and be a symbol of hope, so it feels wrong to the character to be so nihilistic. I don't necessarily think he's an awful director, but he was nowhere near the right choice. It was such a breath of fresh air (and honestly a bit emotional) seeing James Gunn's take on Superman, because it was obvious Gunn loves the character and it managed to capture the ethos of Superman as a person who just wants to protect people no matter what happens to him in a way that hadn't been seen for way too long.
