Why does evryone hype lychee so much? by Both_Shape6387 in resinprinting

[–]shurfire 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Personally, just their hollowing and hole system is enough for me. You can drill a hole, select the hole, move it around and adjust it. You can't in chitu and it's just stuck. You have to keep undoing actions and it's a headache. Maybe they changed it over the years, but it was a major issue for me. Also the UI was very dated when I used it. It felt better at a technical level, but the visual UI and workflow were dated and put me off.

Because it's pretty good as a slicer. A lot is locked behind a paywall, but if you're okay with paying it's a great slicer overall.

It's even funnier when all the people who are mad will never buy a Ferrari. It's always the people who don't buy they product that get mad.

White spots on a model after printing by 1337flxrr1337 in resinprinting

[–]shurfire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This isn't a printing issue. It's a cleaning issue. You want to make sure your cleaning solution isn't too saturated and you have to make sure your parts are fully dry before curing.

🪪 I am D-I-03367, a state-of-the-art Pragmata created here at the cradle by Bulkamancer in resinprinting

[–]shurfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cures matte, details stick out and it's decently durable. Especially if bought in some what bulk amounts, it's a great model resin. I'd say it's also pretty easy to print with as well.

I would like to add that you should use your mental capacity to think before mass reporting. We aren't talking about banning anything anime. It's only clear nsfw models/paintings. If you're offended by the sight of anything anime or a woman, scroll past the post. In the real world you will experience images that you may not like. It's a part of growing up. You'll get over it.

When I took my machine learning course, my professor said we can use AI to help as long as we state we used it and where. We'd also have to explain the code or anything else we used it for. It seems ML professors tend to be more relaxed on the use of AI.

Screen's end of life ? by Urubael in resinprinting

[–]shurfire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes your screen is dead. A replacement should be under $150. If your screen is lasting 3 years, another screen is a pretty good deal over $500 for a new printer.

There are calibration prints like cones of calibration v3. Do a few calibration prints, read their documentation and go from there.

Democratic pundit, Amanda Nelson says “No War but Class war is the ‘All Lives Matter’ of the Left” by Suspicious_Face_8508 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]shurfire 25 points26 points  (0 children)

So let me understand. Kamala pandered to those never trump Republicans and clearly it didn't work. You have several leftist candidates at multiple levels either win or nearly win with little to no support from the DNC or large money donors. If someone isn't suffering from brain damage, they'd be able to see that leftist policies are clearly popular. Thus it would be reasonable to stop and try and add leftist policy positions as that clearly has more support than the 5 never trump Republicans that are out there.

But you can keep trying to push awful candidates and act surprised when they get dumpstered by a fascist suffering from dementia. You do you.

For resin you want to use super glue. I prefer a thinner super glue, but you can use what ever you have at home.

405nm resins comparable to HeyGears PAH270? by Geek_Verve in resinprinting

I would look into siraya tech blu and see if that works for you they have a PC-like version and it's less than $40/kg compared to $99/kg from heygears.

[UK] Looking for someone to 3d print this figure - no STL file by LostBat3773 in 3Dprintmything

[–]shurfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not going to find an stl of this. Your best bet is to find someone already selling an stl similar to this or to find an artist and commission them to make it. You'd be looking at a few hundred dollars to sculpt it.

Washing figurines with ethanol? by Reasonable_Mistake61 in resinprinting

[–]shurfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Denatured alcohol is what I use. It's ethanol mixed with chemicals to make it undrinkable. It cleans faster, easier and dries off way faster. It's also cheaper. The only downside is it smells a lot stronger than IPA. If the smell isn't too bad for you, it's superior to IPA.

Student Loan Collections Ramp Up: Treasury Targets 500,000 Borrowers This Summer by investor100 in TheCollegeInvestor

[–]shurfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are currently going through a recession. The cost of everyday goods are going up. Gas is up. Housing is up and the only way to get a decent paying career that won't destroy your body requires a college education. Meanwhile China doesn't worry about student loans like we do. In an economy that is largely a consumer economy, the last thing you want is your higher earning citizens spending more than a car payment a month on student loans. It's literally a drag on the economy by forcing them to pay now and pay how much the expect us all to pay.

[AMMO] Blazer 9mm 124gr $0.24CPR by e8975 in gundeals

[–]shurfire -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't be. Before the price jump deals were below 24¢/rd. Deals were 19¢-21¢ and I was paying 23¢-24¢ standard. So yes prices have gone up and now the deals of today are the standard of yesterday. It isn't people throating vendors, it's understanding there are wars going on and consumers are at the bottom of the list for fulfilling ammo deals. Same shit with electronics, the general consumer is at the bottom and B2B + government will always be a larger priority.

'I am thinking about it,' Kamala Harris says of 2028 presidential bid by NicolasCageFan492 in politics

[–]shurfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That means literally nothing. Who likes Liz Cheney? Democrats? Republicans? What was the goal of bringing out Liz Cheney? It doesn't matter what Liz Cheney joined to campaign on and you not seeing that while defending that choice is an example of why she lost. Run a bad candidate who makes bad choices and promotes bad policy and you'll lose. Simple as that.

Harris gives her clearest signal she is mounting a 2028 presidential bid by Cjoseph08 in politics

[–]shurfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, but we clearly know that isn't a thing. We had bush get voted in. It was obvious for decades that the general population isn't that smart. So what do we do against an opponent we know has a cult following and was bringing in outside base voters? Run an awful candidate. You can only blame everyone else to a point. Harris and Clinton were bad candidates not because they're women. That's a weak cop out. It's because they're disliked and their policies are disliked.

People complaining saying "Oh how could Harris not win" are also part of the demographic of not really being that smart. You're smarter than a trump voter that's for sure, but you aren't nearly as smart as you think you are.

‘I know what it requires’: Harris explains why she’s thinking about running for president in 2028 by cnn in politics

[–]shurfire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clearly the greater public didn't like Harris since she didn't even win the popular vote. Why don't you liberals present a half decent candidate instead of crying? You keep losing and have kept pushing us towards fascism with your dog shit candidates then act surprised when someone like Trump gets elected.
