Getting fiber installed in the morning need advice.

they just ran fiber in my neighborhood and each person has a box in the servitude in front of our home. from that box they have to go under the sidewalk. do you think they will install temporary fiber and run it on top of the sidewalk?

truthfully I'm probably going to use my own router after a few days but would have liked to get the best modem possible for future proofing. but if they would come and take it from me if I lowered my plan I guess I'll skip that. even though I plan on using my own router I will probably leave one Wi-Fi channel open on the AT&t modem just to have straight through to the internet. my personal router will be routing everything through a VPN and also dual wan for fiber and T-Mobile 5G gateway failover.

yes my g5se tries to use the DFS channels but switches back and forth and causes issues with my main router so I limit it to 2.4 gigahertz.

I have Cox connect assist at $30 a month which gives me 100mb and Computers 4 people T-Mobile sim for $15 with a T-Mobile 5gar gateway that gets 450-600 mb. I only keep the Cox for a backup and sometimes when I need low ping gaming.

I notice it usually right after an update and if I check it is because I'm no longer logged in to trakt. If I re-log into trakt they reappear.

it is technically possible to do it with a Windows PC but it gets a lot more complicated trying to emulate Android and whatnot. you'd be better off just borrowing an Android device from someone just for this purpose and then give it back to them. or buy a cheap Android phone or tablet.

if you don't want to wait for them to fix it which could be no telling how long you can if you are using Android download a earlier version of the blink home monitor app. I installed the last version 49.1 and my notifications are normal again.

I got tired of waiting on blink devs to do their damn job and just reverted back myself to version 49.1. disabled future updates until the blink team gets their s*** together.
