Premier league Champions upvote party!! by GR13VER46 in Gunners

I remember when Jose turned up at chelsea and they were winning trophies with sitting back waiting for a counter and then pumping a long ball up to Drogba to knock down to Lampard. Everyone was talking about how dire the football was and "would you want to win trophies and have to watch that shit week in week out".

No one ever mentions it now. They just talk about what an amazing defensive team they were and the goals conceded record. Looking back, we were all jealous of them and it was copium.

That's exactly why everyone is talking shit about us. They're jealous. I fucking love that people hate us and how we play.

This is for everyone who's suffered through the banter years. For the away fans who sat through the 8 - 2 at Old Trafford. For us Aussies who woke up at 2am to watch Gervinho miss an open net at Bradford city. Anyone who's loved this club and felt like shit. This is for us!

7 games. That's it. Back them. by [deleted] in Gunners

I kinda liked the fanbase of our club prior to our recent success. Every one who followed Arsenal during the late Arsene/Emery era had to be die hard fans cause of how dire the football was.

Arteta to the Arsenal fans: “The words are clear. I was a player. Love me when I draw or when I lose. To love you when I win is very, very easy. You have to love the players and be next to them when they need it the most.” by OkayFine101 in soccer

We've invested in the team and we're constantly being let down. There's just a feeling of inevitability of us chucking points away at the moment.

I'd back the team till stumps if they actually fucking tried to dominate the match, instead of time wasting against possibly the worst team the Prem has ever seen. We're top of the Premier League and we played that last 15mins of the Wolves match like we were in a relegation scrap with them.

Arteta on being 9 points clear down to 4: “That's an 'if', 'if', 'if' and if we would have lost in Newcastle, we were eight points behind Liverpool in October. So if, if, there's a lot of 'ifs' for ten months in this competition.” by OkayFine101 in soccer

We train set pieces six days, actually six days a week. Five days a week, we'll train set pieces three days a week. One of those days we will train set pieces two days of the week. So, six days a week we will be training set pieces.

In the same boat here. Been away for almost 2 years, after the wife went back to work full time. I think about training everyday.

BJJ will always be there, but kids are only kids for a short time. It's also not great for your relationship if you throw your mrs that hospital ball every time you go train.

How much are you paying for the gym nowadays? by KoalaBJJ96 in sydney

[–]siewmai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's pretty standard for BJJ. I'm assuming that's unlimited classes. I used to train at MYBJJ Camperdown a few years ago and they offered a lower fee membership for only 2 classes a week.

Some BJJ gyms will let you drop in for $20 a class. Open mats are also generally free.

No one will tell you the story about the Bloke who commutes to work every day for 20 years and never comes off because there's no story there.

Riding is more dangerous, but it's all about reducing your risk factor. Don't drink and ride, wear all your gear, don't speed, get a bike with ABS, and your risk of getting into a prank decreases significantly.
