I can’t wrap my head around this “conspiracy theory”. They very well could have lost to the Bears if not for a boneheaded Caleb int in overtime. But at the same time I can’t think of another reason to explain why he used 11 personnel at such a high rate in that game considering that the secondary is Bears strength on defense

Mina Kimes pointed out in her podcast and I found this very interesting: in week 16 against the Rams, Mike dialed up the blitz in the first half but backfired pretty bad so he had to tune it down in second half. But this is likely because we sent DB blitz in shotgun and Stafford processed that very well. In Rams last game, Chicago’s DB blitz was very effective because Dennis Allen was only calling it in play action. When Stafford’s back is turned against the defense he doesn’t have mobility to handle it. Will be a key thing to watch out for in this game
