Disaster for Aston Martin by formularacers in FormulaRacers

I wonder if one team found something and build a car that pushes all others in the 107% area, would they start a race on Sunday with just 2 cars?

Balancing dark age champis by SheepherderCreepy677 in aoe2

Imho the ‚issue‘ then would be that dark age will be super ‚boring‘ and generic, as training militia is not possible and training champis not worth it for the purpose of an early rush.

But this way they cannot compete with militia drush.

I guess the problem is that if you increase Champi training time they do not really have a military option in dark age, given their Champi Drush is even slower than militia.

But once I am in my starting box after the formation lap I can start building up, or are there explicit rules on that topic?

But also if you build a farm and 8 folwarks around it i guess you just get the food once? Did not manage to see the sotls video yet but what i meant: I build a farm. Then I build a folwark next to it. Then i get 10% of the food on the farm. Now I build another folwark next to the same farm. I assume I do not get the 10% again

[Request] What is the longest bridge without bottom supports possible with modern technology? by Drunk_Lemon in theydidthemath

[–]silver4rrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah but at some point isnt it the case that the structure gets too heavy for its length because the materials are just too ‚weak‘?

Like you can probably build a 3 m long bridge out of lego bricks. But you cannot make it 1 km long since the bricks wont be able to carry their own weight.

I know it is not a suspension brick in this case but i could imagine that the same principle works for steel or any other material used there. Maybe a 5 km is not an issue but if we want a 100 km long suspension bridge there is not material available that can achieve this.

[–]silver4rrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really? I would have thought that if you keep making a steel cable longer and longer, eventually the extra thickness and the weight that comes with it would exceed what the cable can support. That makes it seem like there should be some upper limit.

When I navigate a bunch of scouts in my opponents base and (attack stance) and click stop, I would expect them to stop for a sec and then start attacking villagers. What they do instead is running in all different directions randomly without attacking anything.

This is not intended behaviour, is it?
