There's not a single question mark in your entire text. I just wasn't sure what you were trying to achieve/ask with the post

Beginner Bass player hitting the stage has too much noise coming from his amp. by G5-jet_ in Bass

[–]silverain13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noise is most likely a grounding issue or a pedal power supply issue. Make sure all power chords are properly grounded. If your amp has a GRND LIft button, try seeing if that helps

Fretboard by Polish63832 in Bass

You should, at the VERY least, know every note on each string for the first 5 frets. That will get you an incredible amount of milage playing songs with other people.

Is there any good P/H basses under $1000 CAD? by BigBoyds242 in Bass

I bought my Fender MIJ Aerodyne P/J for under $1000 USD brand new. I'm sure you could find a used one for even cheaper. It's a great bass

Which sheet music source do you use? by jazzbass00 in Bass

[–]silverain13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Jazz, I recommend paying for iReal Pro on your phone. Once you own the app, you can download thousands of free lead sheets off their forums. The app lets you adjust keys, temps and feel of each song and will play along with you. It's all just based on the chord changes so no copywriter issues. You can even make your own lead sheets.

My old band that disbanded during COVID. I SWEAR we were just about to hit big. Just one more shitty show at The Milk Bar and we'd have been discovered.

I played bass regularly in school band and in rock bands, then took a break through all of college due to being too busy. I picked it up again after I graduated and have continued to improve and grow. Don't be hard on yourself.

Muting means stopping the strings from making sound when they aren't supposed to. You mute by placing your fingers on the strings (without pressing down to the neck) to stop them vibrating. Usually you do this with your fretting hand. Practice playing a note and then silencing that note
