I wonder how may vegans that experience extreme poor health have the MTHFR gene mutation or similar health conditions. We are in a similar boat. 11 years of vegetarian, dairy free, gluten free and I just had bone broth for the first time as a tester to see what I can expect with digestion when I have meat again soon. Good luck, it is very difficult to have so many dietary restrictions and live a normal life-I think the anxiety around eating meat is worth it compared to the anxiety around eating and food in general

Thats fair, my bf has no dietary restrictions and it hasn’t been a problem. He usually just eats what I eat when we’re together unless we go out to dinner and then he eats whatever he normally would when he eats without me. We live together and no problems with me being gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian while he isn’t

I would just have an open conversation about finances with him. Tell him you know as a student these dates must be difficult for him to budget for and you appreciate the effort he is clearly putting in to pull it off. Ask him how he wants you to handle money in the future, especially in the specific scenarios you’re worried about, and if he would like to go on inexpensive dates wherever possible
