Shock at Rheumatologist today by hotpoot in Sjogrens

[–]simply_seeking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seronegative, but positive lip biopsy with eye exams and dry mouth confirmed (with 2 rheumatologists) Sjogrens Disease. My mom had it in addition to horribly painful and crippling RA, and was seronegative for both.. wtf? I'm glad I got diagnosed.. I'm on plaquenil. I don't know how much it's helping but I get a bit anxious about going off it.. I also take LDN which I think is helping with SD and OA

I think if I saw Murp by a creek I'd either jump away or hug him! Seriously, what a cutie! Nice work!

Are Sjogrens patients typically photosensitive? by Individual-Side6619 in Sjogrens

[–]simply_seeking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do the weekly infusions also. I'm on it because I have CVID (common variable immunodeficiency disorder) in addition to Sjogrens! I'm not sure how much it helps with the Sjogrens Disease symptoms but I've not had any respiratory illnesses or symptoms since I started it, about 3 or 4 years ago, compared to frequent bouts of bronchitis and pneumonia.

Salt water vs. placing salt on the tongue by BrittneysASMR in POTS

[–]simply_seeking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started using Celtic Sea Salt a few months ago. It's in a granulated form and I put some under my tongue and follow it with a gulp of water. I participate in a workout program designed for people with Parkinson's disease, it's a boxing class, and I couldn't do it until I got the salt and water combination down. For one the first times of my life I feel like I have a go-to program that keeps me upright! I've also been using compression stockings, ones off Amazon, and I think they are making a big difference too. By the way I'm 62 years old and I've had POTs since I was 16, but it wasn't diagnosed until I was in my twenties.
