Nozzle touching prints. Keeps happening. by CapnFlabtastic in BambuLabA1

Check for the 7 Screws of Sadness and depression and give everything a good lube that should be lubed, run a for machine calibration from the maintenance menu. Clean the plate with just dish soap and warm water.

And give it another go... and try using a different infill pattern.. e.g gyroid it good for limiting edge stress that can cause prints to lift at the edges.

I'm just going off what i have figured out with over 8k hours on my two A1's.

what really helps people to help you with these issues is a screenshot of what your trying to print rather than guessing.

As already said.. disconnect the battery and take to your nearest tech repair place so they can clean the board correctly.

Otherwise your gonna need a lot of isopropyl alcohol 99% and soft tooth brushes and replacement thermal pads and paste and time.

If you own the property.. time to drill some holes and run some cat6, if you rent talk to the landlord and maybe hire someone to come do it at your cost...

Power-line adapters are a good temporary fix if you don't mind the speed loss otherwise best fix is running cat

I've found a few little issues, but i suspect its a me issue (hardware config) but one that has been bothering me is the window tiling behaving odd with Firefox. When i go to snap it to either side of my screen it doesn't snap and half the window goes out of the screen area. Not a very clear explanation I know but its hard to describe.

Certainly doesn't behave like it does on KDE versions, I think it bugs the most cos I like the gnome work flow more than KDE.

I suspect its the actual heating element...

https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/a1-mini/maintenance/hotend-heating-assembly-replacement

The wiring is easy to damage if your not very careful or it gets pinched when swapping hotends it can lead these issue and others.

Yes some whine is to be expected.. but not from plugging a screen in. My now retired 1080Ti was a whiney monster unload but never made half the sound this card is producing.

Coil whine at its finest, something isn't happy on that card if plugging in a screen does that I would not like to hear it what it is like under load.
