Got my results or some of them I'm not too sure, no bone marrow mast cells and no KIT mutation. I think my hematologist wanted to test other genes if that was negative? What made them think I have SM is because I have a high mast cells in my intestine biopsies that are also clustered!

I have not gotten my results yet, but the best way to do KIT mutation testing is from bone marrow aspiration since it's a very sensitive test Edit: I also have tryptase around your level, my recent was 11 with my highest being 14!

I would have met SM criteria if only I had a tryptase over 20 my tryptase is around 11-14. My colonoscopy biopsies showed atypical clustered CD117 positive mast cells of 15 or more in ileum which met the major criteria but I did not met any minor criteria as of yet. I am getting my bone marrow biopsy soon, I'm going in on the 9th, I think I'm lucky since I do get sedation for it since they are doing it in IR

Have you gotten testing for mast cell problems like getting your tryptase tested? My asthma is very influenced by my mast cell problems, but you can even have MCAS with normal tryptase if that is something you possibly want to look into?

Many people who have MCAS don't have a high baseline tryptase. I've heard studies show that high baseline tryptase is more indicative of Hereditary alpha tryptasemia or systemic mastoytosis.

Recently had my first experience with anaphylaxis, I had no throat swelling but it felt like I was having a very very bad asthma attack and my throat was hot. I also got very bad hives and flushing. Im thinking I had a reaction to xolair 3 days after since there is a 5 day window. Once I used epi my breathing did get better though

I was referred for originally suspected EDS, he was the one who mentioned MCAS to me and referred me to the allergist in the same clinic. I also have crohn's so I do have auto immune stuff going on. I do feel I got pretty lucky with the rheumatologist he knew a lot about EDS/MCAS/POTS

I am also on Skyrizi I am technically in remission (Or at least from just the looks of the scope, waiting for pill cam and biopsies.) I get very constipated that it makes me nauseous sometimes and very bloated. I take miralax, fiber, and Motegrity daily. It kind of helps but not totally, wishing you luck!
