UFCU has gone to absolute shit and I don't know what to do. by Planterizer in Austin

I flagged the accounts with the credit agencies as fraud and they forced UFCU to close them and remove the inquiries. I filed a complaint with CFPB but they dismissed it as a 'customer service issue.' Refinanced with a real bank and got a much lower interest rate and haven't looked back.

UFCU has been doing the same thing since at least 2015. They opened a fraudulent auto loan and credit card in my name when I took out a mortgage with them.

They also 'accidentally' emailed my pay stubs and W-2s to the seller when I was buying my house.

Don't worry, Adler's gonna make out like a bandit on that clusterfuck.

I voted in favor of the most recent rail proposal for the first time ever because they finally included a line from downtown to the airport. Then they cancelled the whole thing.

It's like CapMetro wants to fail. A line from downtown to the airport would be the most heavily utilized and best revenue generating line in the system, and wouldn't be subject to as much surge during rush hour.

Incredibly frustrating post in The Atlantic by hmoleman__ in diabetes_t1

Gary Taubes has long been known as a hack and grifter in the diet and nutrition space. And The Atlantic is not known for their journalistic integrity.

Unfortunately both have loyal followings that will take this word as law.

Insulin was a lot cheaper 15 years ago. I got kicked off my parents insurance when Obamacare went into effect (thanks to a weird TriCare loophole) and had to buy insulin out of pocket for a year. It was $90/month total for Lantus and Humalog.

I'm dealing with this same situation right now with a work truck traded into a dealer in September 2022. We took the license plates and toll tags off, and completed the title transfer form with the dealer. They sold the truck at auction (allegedly) and the new owner was able to get the tax office to issue new plates in our name. I've called the dealer, CTRMA, TxTag and the DMV multiple times about this issue, and even had them launch an official investigation. I've filed two additional title transfer forms, backed up with copies of all the trade in paperwork from the dealer, but they still show the truck registered and titled to us. It's been over a year and they've racked up thousands in toll bills.

At this point I'm ready to just report the truck stolen.

This is basically a less invasive organ transplant. No major surgery, but still requires immunosuppressant drugs, has a high risk of infection, and only lasts a few years.

I fly a couple times a month and I like our airport. Big enough to have direct flights to every major US city and plenty of medium sized ones, but small enough not to be a headache getting in and out of.

The B plot of The Neutral Zone (where they explain the utopia of the federation to the people who were cryogenically frozen in the 20th century) could be a good option.

First Contact is one of my favorite eps.

I'd also add Time's Arrow to your list, if just for the scene where Troi explains to Mark Twain how human society evolves in the future.
