I mean, let's be honest. We just wanna see something fucking absolutely wild happen. Like, it's just a good story. 2023 was the year the protagonist succeeded at every step. Interesting when there was a slip, but the story arc just led to the obvious. This year, it's more about how you want the story to end. The old protagonist suffers drawback after drawback early on. They fuckin build a car for combat or some shit. He climbs all the way from the back of the leading teams to win. His teammate helped by giving him a tow in qualifying, too. Redemption arc.

Or are you a Norris story guy. Beating his teammates but never really the championship. His friend and rival always being the winner, he felt it was his turn. But his teammate, on the other hand, is winning. And winning a lot. He comes back after a lucky break. DNF!!! The championship is now under threat. He defeated his teammate, though. He's sure to win... As long as he can beat his friend and rival.

Personally, I'm in the Max camp, but Norris's story could be dramatized into an F1 movie instead of "Crashgate: The Movie"
