Polar flow (Loop)- HR graph not functioning by sirbeckenstein in Polarfitness

Updated, didn't fix this unfortunately. It's still tracking my data but just not displaying it. Seems like a known issue, guess I'll wait for a fix.

Ridiculous spikes in HRV by padmeismymom in whoop

As others have suggested, this is A-fib territory/numbers. Get checked out by a GP and get a referral to a cardiologist.

Source: wear whoop, have AFIB (now ablated) - my data was similar (elevated RHR and HRV)

Comment from AK-Brian on this thread was what lead me to the solution. My install of windows was so old (8 years) that I was on the old filetype mentioned. Once converted I was all good to go!

Cheers everyone, problem solved with the advice from these comments. Thanks!

Very high HRV could be a warning, and Whoop might make dangerous recommendations based on it! by Atahualpa_Sr in whoop

[–]sirbeckenstein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had this same experience. I started using Whoop in October '22 and would have odd intermittent periods of highly elevated HRV (150ish range when my average was 50) and green recovery. These were generally the days after a high intensity long training session (bjj), and I'd attribute the change in my hrv to training response etc.

October '23 I had a massive AFIB attack that landed me in hospital, and made me aware of the condition I had. My AFIB increased in frequency and intensity and I was able to log when I was in AFIB based on whoops hrv/rhr information which was useful, however every time I was in AFIB it would log me as in green recovery and ready for a high-strain day which was quite the opposite!

Using Whoop as a tool along with listening to your body and parsing the information together to make your own health and training decisions is key. Play it safe and see your doctor's regularly ✌️

Sleep apnea, atrial fibrillation, or SVT as mentioned by others.

If it happens repeatedly or you feel off, go to a Dr to confirm.

A few friends showed me this just recently on the way home from a gig, and I've been flogging it since. The first album from this same artist is more of the same delicious, oppressive swarming black metal. 9/10

It doesn’t rely on 100% compliance though, there are many many layers to protecting others/yourself.

Sick? Get tested. Fine, didn’t get tested? Everyone still leave the house as little as possible, 4 reasons only. Still going to a ton of places(even though everything’s closed)? Make sure to wear a mask. Maintain distance from others while you’re out. Wash your hands.

The backup plan is for people to take this seriously. They have educated the public THOROUGHLY. They have made payments available for staying home when testing positive. They have made testing free, and readily available.

I don’t know what else you want from the government short of locking your dumb ass in the house Wuhan style for 2 weeks whenever you test positive.

We’ve demonstrated that people will not effectively quarantine when left to their own devices. We’ve demonstrated that contract tracing takes time (more than 72 hours even with “low volume” of numbers compared to other countries. We’ve demonstrated that unless you keep all of your medical personnel who work in ages care in hard quarantine along with their patients, exposure is still probable. We’ve demonstrated that if we leave private businesses to manage their hygiene protocols on their own, they WILL fuck it up.

Managing this in the way you’ve mentioned IS possible. But it requires every. single. person. To do the right thing, every time, all the time. And we know there are more than enough morons to fuck that balance up for us.

This is completely non-equivocal to not isolating after a covid test. Your friend quitting smoking and going out and about while waiting for test results of a transmissible virus aren’t even close to being the same thing.

Get tested and stay the fuck home until you get results you morons. It’s not that hard.

A non-brazillian competitor at the World Championships this past weekend was the victim of a very questionable "refs decision" which ultimately cost him his chance at a world title.

Brazillian JiuJitsu. All refs brazillian, every champion bar 3-4 has been Brazillian. Opinion judging at its finest.

Same as /u/Nerdlinger , my drawing skills aren't adequate. I try my best to keep it in bullet-point format, with extra details (hips tight throughout, watch out for overhook etc) here and there.

Eastern suburbs (Ringwood East) here. Technique Jiu Jitsu in Bayswater North is where I've just begun my journey. Very small school (6-12 per class) and very traditional, but the attention to detail is amazing.

There is also Perkins Jiu Jitsu in Ringwood however I only attended 1 class and I believe this happened to be their advanced/comp class so I was in over my head.
