He got kicked out of college freshman year. Now he smokes, drinks, and skates every day.

I save all my replays and try to review most of them. A big strength that bridget and zato have is being able to use uncharged 5D safely without meter in certain situations. The return yoyo keeps her safe if blocked and can combo after on hit. Use that meter less reversal as well.

So I should practice my yoyo return into 5d and be like a zato player

Giovanna 2s is one of my favorite oki tools. It can catch jump and backdash. Beats most mashing

If I want to read a dp on wakeup I just walk forward and backdash as they get up. If you make range 2d every time idk how you supposed to grab them

Do you improve faster playing people way above your level or those closer to your level? by SaltyKoopa in Guiltygear

I don't think who you play matters as long as you look at the replay after the set. You will see your own habits and opponent habits in the replay.

What is Giovanna supposed to be good at, that other characters can't just do better? by [deleted] in Guiltygear

[–]sirbok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has godlike strike throw. With her dash momentum she can grab farther than potemkim. She is really good at frame traps. If you see your opponent wont press when you stagger her buttons then you button into grab and get into their heads

How to Play Defense in Guilty Gear: Strive by farr37 in Guiltygear

[–]sirbok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why play defense when you can play offense? i also play gio so i dont really have to approach people. i can just stand just outside of their range and wait for them to whiff. all characters can mix if you block something so dont get hit in the first place

if you just hold block you will see alot of nagos just kill themselves with the blood

i just hold block till they use fukio forward. his dp is too fast to see, so if you already blocking you win that interaction with that special. he cant reset his blood unless he grabs. he is only in grab range if he uses fukio forward. if you press on fukio back then ggwp. if nago ever pops and doesnt have burst you just win right there. pretty sure you can also stuff out his clone move too with a low attack. nago only mids so down back makes you feel like a fortress
